For as much turnover as he's had in his career, to have 60 WoO wins before he turns 30 is quite an accomplishment. I think if he sticks with it, he's going to win in the the 2020s like Schatz did the 2010s. The only question is, will there be a big 3 (or more) with Sweet and others that dominate with Gravel or will it just be Gravel.

It may be his backyard for weekly shows but come the 2nd week in August it's been a little beyond his fence.

"a little" is an understatement. 3 second places in a row to Schatz----2 of them VERY close. Now, to be real about this, he is not running anywhere near where he ran those 3 years. However, it's not like he was 2nd rate at every Nationals he's run. He was a threat for a short time.
