i wanted to throw out the name briggs danner as a driver to watch. i'm biased because he's from allentown...but he looks to be very talented and have a bright future in racing. he set quick time at grandview last night in the usac series...beating tanner thorson by about 2 tenths. i was most impressed that when he started smoking in his heat race...he backed it down to make sure he wouldn't blow it up and took his finish outside the transfer. he raced into the feature by winning the b and got a top 10. just seemed like a mature way to race when others might have blown the car up in the heat race and ended their night early.
i'm looking forward to what he can do the rest of the weekend too. he seems to race a number of difference cars including a modified. really impressive for a young driver to be competitive against some of the best competition at tracks he's not familiar with.

The young man is a wheel man. He runs up front in about any division he enters, one of the front runners for the USAC east coast sprint division. Its nice to see local talent to be able to compete against the national teams and drivers.
