I thought if you changed an engine after TT or a heat you had to start at the back. Tonight Kahne swapped and kept his position. Last night I think someone did also. Did the rule change or am I misunderstanding it?

Nah, you can change engines all night As long as it is in the same car. If you change cars, to the back.
