I know Florida is unique and all that but I'm seeing a lot of teams that seem to be hard at work upping their game from what they had last year.   The All Star group put some pretty good talent on display and their shows might be even better than last year considerig some of the new teams in the hunt.. (A note: anyone named Hendrick or Penski or Gibbs should be chased away from that kid in the #7 cause he is coming and coming quick)...  as for the Outlaws: has there ever really been a time with so much depth of true power teams??   You could make the case that the top 7 outlaws could between themselves win every race this year....  I know they won't but they are that good..... It looks like maybe California will be big schedule change needed and I'm sure they're on that so we are looking at a good 75 to 85 races if spring and the virus cooperate.   with that said.... who is the big dog in your mind.... Brad, Donnie, Shelddon, Logan or even Gravel...   who out of that gets over 10 wins !!!!!!!  all of them ?   whats your early guess on who gets the most wins.  I'll say this... in life you are the man until your not.. Donnie was Brad now is and i;m guessing that issue is still between them as far as points but I'm not so sure they can hold off the rest to get the most wins.......  what say you ?  who wins 10 or more??   as they say, who is "Da Man".....

I'll go with the nostalgic choice and say SchAtz wins his 11th title and 15 wins. Sweet, Gravel, Schuchart, battle for 2nd (it's been years since the battle for the top 5 has been this tough), Haud, Macedo, Reutzel and McFadden/Kahne battle for top 5 in points but fall short. Allen, Zearfoss and the law firm battle for a top 10, but realistically 2 will fall short. It's a ridiculously deep field and I hope they all make it the whole year.

I think Schatz will win the season based on consistency not wins.

The Southern swing, in my mind was dominated by WoO teams.

Good points about depth and anything can happen with a race day but  I still think Schatz and Sweet , maybe Logan, are a notch up on the rest. It will be a battle between these 3 but 4 to 7 will not be the regular distance back in points, and should never be unexpected to win any night.

Should make for a great season. 7 or more potential winners any night is better than 2.

Just my thoughts.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Lets not forget the Legend in own Mind...Double D from PA, the dude has made some features, had a good run last night. Usually after about three races in FL. they are ready to head home. He's not da man though.

Schatzs clean driving style and finishing percentage will give him the advantage .Finishing in the top 5 is key in a possible 85 race schedule.Win it or wear it is exciting for the fans and some of the daring slide jobs that have became common after last year. I love Lil Hauds style to watch but the wall wins to many times. I would say the top 10 teams all can win with right draw and a little luck.

Donny Shatz may be the queen, remember kinser is and always will be the KING. I saw something last night that if he is back full time makes Donny my pick to wear the crown again this year. Crew chief, Ricky Warner. The 15 was on rails on the inside hugging the rail. Sheldon is trying to take over his dad's nickname, the wild child, sometimes slowing down makes you go faster.

The crew chief is a big part. The names Ricky,Paul, and Karl [retired]are synonymous with performance.

To quote a great philosopher Ric Flair, "To be the man, woohoo, you gotta beat the man." And right now Brad Sweet is the man. They have potentially 70+ races to beat him and so far it will not be an easy task. Won't be easy for him to keep either. So depends on what you like, the hunter or the hunted. The Big Cat looking for another kill, or one of the potential poachers trying to get a trophy kill

I was gonna say Schatz & team had the "Ford" figured out until it died & Scuchart got the win

But was it the magneto or box?

I'm gonna pick Schatz or Schuchart....I know, I plead guilty to "hedging" ;)

I think part failures and crashes will be a factor this year with how close everyone is. Schatz was almost perfect in reliability until Ford but now he's got the speed back. Shark racing has had their issues over the years as well. Sweet had a stretch last year that almost took the title away from him despite him being the best car most of the year.
