I noticed the 2020 Short Track Nationals will be an ASCS National Tour sanctioned event again. I see this as a plus for both the Short Track Nationals as well as the ASCS National Tour but more importantly i see it as a plus for the race teams and the Sprint Car fans in general. However, I'm disappointed that it will remain only a 2 day show that pays $10,041 to win rather than a 3 day show that paid $15k to win when it was an ASCS National Tour sanctioned event in the past. Clearly the I-30 Speedway / Short Track Nationals has proven over the past few years that it can draw 65 - 70 cars for a two day show and pay $10k plus to win without the ASCS National Tour. I would hope sanctioning by the ASCS National Tour would be able to draw enough additional Sprint Car teams and fans to go back to the 3 day show and back to the $15k to win purse. If not, what advantage does the ASCS National Tour sanctioning bring to the race teams and the fan?

Last year they had most of the National teams there if

not all. As a car owner with the purse apparently going to be the

same I wouldn’t expect not many more cars.

still a good show. One thing that might hold some cars

back is on Friday if you do not make the A main

There is no payout for the B main

So, as a car owner do you see any benefits to the 2020 Short Track Nationals being sanctioned by the ASCS National Tour?
