Josh Schneiderman – Taking on the Outlaws

Dallas, TX (June 19, 2019) – Josh Schneiderman and the Deuce Motorsports team did battle with the World of Outlaws last weekend at the Knoxville Raceway, making the show on Friday, before running into engine woes Saturday. “The Professor” and the team will have the World of Wheels #49 back on the track this Saturday night at Knoxville, looking to capitalize on the speed they showed with the Outlaws!

The Deuce Motorsports team’s weekend with the Outlaws got off to a rough start last Friday night, when they found themselves rolling off the grid in qualifying as the final car to take time. “We drew dead last for qualifying,” said Schneiderman. “That wasn’t quite what we were looking for to start our night, but we were able to go out and lay down a pretty fast lap. The track stayed pretty fast.”

Starting his heat from the outside of the second row, Schneiderman would run well early until a caution bunched the field back up. “We got off to a great start in our heat and looked like we were going to be able to make the transfer, but the caution killed us,” said Josh. “After the restart, I made a couple mistakes and we ended up 6th and in the B-main.”

However, the B-main would go well for “The Professor” in his Land Pride #49, and he would find his way into the main event on Friday. “The car felt great in the B,” said Josh. “We got faster as the night went on and we had the car really hooked up for the semi.”

Starting near the tail of the field for the night’s feature, Schneiderman would struggle to find his way forward on a track with a dominant groove. “The high side was just too fast in the A-main,” said Josh. “You had to be substantially faster to make a move on someone in front of you Friday, but the car felt good and we were ready for night two.”

Saturday night got off to a delayed start after a small rain shower moved over the Knoxville Raceway, leaving a racetrack that would maintain its high speed and narrowness throughout the night. “The track was lightning fast all night after the rain,” said Schneiderman. “Again, we had to go out late in qualifying, but laid down a solid lap.”

Stuck starting on the inside of the third row in his heat, Josh would get caught on the bottom and fall back, relegating the Deuce Motorsports team to the B-main. “The bottom wasn’t the place to be during the heats on Saturday,” said Josh. “We got trapped down there at the start of the heat and immediately lost a couple spots.”

After a red flag on the initial start of the semi, Josh noticed an issue when he fired the engine for the restart. “When I re-fired, I could tell something was amiss,” said Schneiderman. “The motor was down to seven cylinders and it turns out we had busted a rocker arm, so I had to just get out of everyone’s way and pull in.”

While not the finish to the weekend that Josh and the Deuce team were looking for, they’re looking forward to getting back to the track this Saturday. They’ll be back racing this Saturday at the Knoxville Raceway!
