$26k purse for Ohio speedweeks shows is ridiculously low.

When you can change the venue 12 hours before race time and still get a good crowd, the event is pretty much bullet proof. Purse should be somewhere between a normal All Star purse and an Outlaw purse, say $36-40k.

I know what you are saying, but what incentive does a promoter see in increasing the purse?  They are not doing this out of charity.  The stands are packed, and the pits are packed with the standard All Star purse.  Would they get an increase of teams and fans by paying more?  So in the end, everything how it is now is working, no reason for a promoter to change anything.

We had the same exact conversation last year with the Kings Royal. In the end they hit the ball out of the park with that one.

Right, in a sense it’s similar to the chili bowl
