Holy shit. Even though I can't stand Double Douche it was the best race I've seen in a long time. Wow. I was literally on the edge of my seat for most of the feature.

From my recliner that was the race of the year.   Incredible action.

So who say Posse stays on the porch? DD traveled all the way across Delaware River to the wilds of Noo Joisey (like George Worshington at Valley Forge) to whup the Outlaws AGAIN.... ;)

Looked like a real fast racetrack, good race.

This track would qualify as neutral ground since it hasnt had a 410 race til tonight. Dd won but Schatz could have won if he didnt put 4 over the cushion, which he did and likely cost him the race so it's still a toss up, advantage Posse imo. Curios when the last time was Schatz did that???

Sure would have been nice to see Dewease square off with the Outlaws on this neutral track. Not saying he had to or should have, just that it would have been nice.

I made the drive over and thought it was a great race. I enjoyed the 410's on the new 3/8 track.  There was action all over, especially in the top 4 during the latter stages of the race.

Rod, I don't when the last time Schatz did that. but I did see him do it while leading the 2016 Silver Cup at Lernerville.  He ended up handing the win Gravel, who led most of the race anyway. You don't see it too often, and I've seen it twice now.

Although I consider Bridgeport one of my home tracks and I had last night's race circled to attend, work committments prevented me from going. I just watched the video....that was a heck of a race. I still like Bridgeport's 5/8ths track (just the shear speed) but maybe there is a future with the small track. I bet the USAC sprints will also put on a great show in a few weeks. How was the crowd last night for those who went?

Full. Great crowd. I hung out in the parking lot and had a beer while I was waiting for traffic to die down.  I think I waited for about 45ish minutes just shooting the shit, and then "fought" traffic for an additional 10-15 on the way out.

I know the infrastructure and geography would work against it, but I would still say I would love to see a USAC triple there using the three tracks.  Midgets on the 1/4 mile, Sprints on the 3/8, and Silver Crown on the big 5/8

I was at that Lernerville race in 2016. When he bobbled and gave up the lead my buddy and I turned at each other and at the same time went WTF?? Did that just happen?? I remember in the post race interview he said something along the lines of "We just won the Kings Royal for 50,000 and I feel like I threw on away & let my guys down."

Only thing close was last year at Knoxville I think he passed Gravel during the June races & Gravel was able to pass him back and that was kind of a shocker that someone was able to get back by him at Knoxville.

That tyype of show would be a home run in anyone's book....Unfortunately the way the three tracks are configured it apparently could not be done in the same night because they need time to change over the 3/8ths and the big track even though both tracks share some of the same infastructure....GREAT IDEA though.

If anyone ever called Schatz a dirty driver, they are an idiot.

Who would have thought the best race of the year so far would be on a temporary track in New Jersey (dirt mod country)

When I was there last year it looked like they could have used the 3/8 and 5/8ths the same night.  Have they added stuff that would make that impossible now?  I wasn't able to go last night.

It may not have been far in terms of miles, but I bet they paid a small fortune in tolls.... ;)

The new 3/8 track is 1000 times better than the old 5/8. Great race!

Hope the outlaws can go back to Bridgeport more than once a season, hit it again when they go to the grove another time next year or when they go to weedspoort

Couple questions,

Has the WoO phased out the reduced purse midweek shows? Judgining by Lincoln, Bridgeport and upcoming Fairbury it appears all these midweek shows are standard 10,000 to win WoO races.

Does the Kreitz/Dewease 69K team never run the close WoO events in New Jersey and New York?
