It's gonna keep changing right up to race time.  You know how that weather can be in the mountains.  I've been there before in a downpour when it was a 10% chance of precipitation, and I was at one of the Dream races like four or five years ago when it said 90% chance of rain, and it never rained a drop.  For me, tomorrow has a 50% chance or rain starting at 11pm.  Tonight looks iffy.... Mother Nature is a real "see you next tuesday" this year.

Sunday is a washout though.... I think the remnants of that tropical storm are making their way into the area.

We are keeping an eye on the weather.  Keep in touch with ASCoC and/or Port Royal social media tomorrow.  We MIGHT bump up the start time pending weather forecasts in the morning.

Gonna be close but hopefully they have the presence of mind to cut out all the unnecessary ceremonial stuff such as the hour long driver intros they did last year and keep the show moving. It would also be a good idea to do the redraw up in the pits as that would save a good bit of time too. Running an efficient show has been an issue for them in the past but there has been noticeable improvement in that area this year. I'm hoping they can do it. Either way, I'll be there enjoying one of the best events of the year hoping we stay dry.

That was a rough ride for both Hodnett and Reutzel. Glad they were all ok. When the 91 swerved over into Montieth, I cringed because I knew what was coming. I've been going to Port all my life and I've seen more bad crashes in that area of the track than I can even remember off the top of my head and most of them started just like the one tonight did. Tough break for Hodnett to go through all that just to bring out the back up car and have it not fire thus handing the championship that had all but locked up over to Wagner.

I would say the worst one I saw was when Esh was in the 8H and got knocked into that inside tire and bounced back onto the track and collected Mike Wagner and a few others. Wagner ended up jumping in Logan's car and breaking a vertebrae later in the night, costing him a championship.

Caleb Helms also had a big crash down there a couple of years ago as well.

Logan would know... he ran all of the races this year while Hodnett skipped one for the 360 Nationals at Knoxville. No hating on Logan, he did what he had to do to win the title. Congrats to him. You are simply ignorant.

Seriously, how miserable is your life that you live to rip on a track that you never go to...

Plus you also rip a driver, and his team, because they don't race at the tracks you want them to.

I have no clue why I'm wasting my time with you. I think I'm gonna go back to ignoring your dumb ass.

Last 2 Labor day shows been GREAT!! Rather see racing than high speed freight train. Could care less about track times.

I agree with moving the show along. Forget the fluff. Just race. Not sure if they have any other division running but that coujld be canned as well. Not sure why tracks have to bring more divisions in for big races. Just run a good efficient show.

Truth hurts? How many races did Wagner run outside of Port? A little ingenious to make fun of one driver for something when the driver you’re praising was and even worse offender.

Biggest issue with the weather is the growing chance of early afternoon showers. Might not be able to start early enough to be done by 9 and a greater chance of even light ran later washing out the track. Plus mountains, because why not? lol

Hodnett made about 25k the week of the 410 nationals, which was probably helped by the fact that he ran the 360 nationals. If not for some seriously awful luck last night, he would have easily won the title.

Im sure they’re okay with their decisions.

Good to see they moved the time up

With all the dicussion about the championship what was their reasoning for not making the 50 a point race if I remember correctly last year the 50 was a point race and it cost Cisney the championship.
