Any expectation to get a comparable car count to last year?

Dont see any realastic chance of getting a count like last years All Stars are down to ten followers and several of the invaders from last year are racing elsewhere.

Sammy Swidell,James Mcfadden,Joey Saldana,Tim Keading,Brady Bacon and Billy Balog.

The Mackisons are no lnger racing Max Stambaugh in Ohio only ,Caleb Helms no longer with the All Starsi.

The Matus gang 13,33,51 were at Port yesterday but may not come back .

Bowser now running his own car.

Heard maybe Cisney #5 done for the YEAR.

Dale Blaney running locally.

Incomplete sentence, minus one pt...... does that mean they will be there, or not?

Thanks for the update anyway (????)

Swindell and Balog with the IRA,McFadden in Aussie,Saldana and Keading in Cal. Bacon mostly wingless.

Brown is right now the only one that has put in a release he is coming for most of September I dont know about Masden or the Macarls they talked about it earlier in the year.

Bernie with Indy Race Parts said he would like to run Pa. most of the month not sure if he has a driver.

If they want a car count like last year they need to advertise a Non Oualifer race like Mansfield then more of the low buck teams might come back.t

Kevin Swindell had it on his schedule if he gets a driver.

Dylan Cisney would be a great pick he knows how to get around Port Royal.

If they just want to run Port Royal, he would be a good fit but if they planning on running the other tracks, they may want to look for someone with some more laps at those places.

Thanks for the clarification

What I'm worried about more than car count is the WEATHER.... hard to justify a 5 hr. drive on a 50/50 chance. Can't go Friday, obligations.....

Do you people who are always bitching about Dylan Cisney not traveling have any idea why he is not racing right now? It is because they are a one motor team and it is down right now. How much do you think a team like that can afford to travel?

Who's bitching? It's a fact. He rarely runs anywhere else. There's nothing wrong with that either. He's just a weekly racer who runs his home track. I don't think I've ever seen him at Lincoln and he only runs Williams Grove once in awhile and hasn't done much when he has. If I want to run the Dirt Classic, wouldn't it make more sense to put either A) someone who races there weekly and wins races or B) someone like Christopher Bell or Rico who can adapt quickly and win anywhere. If I have a car and I want a hired gun to run Williams Grove I want someone who can adapt quickly to my equipment and who stands a reasonable shot at making the show and running well. So it makes sense to hire someone who has done well at all the area tracks if they intend to run all the money shows coming up. Cisney hasn't proven himself to be that kind of driver. Nothing against him, that's just how it is.

Should Rico still be in the list of hot hired guns. He hasn't placed super well this season or last half of last season. No disresepect to the man. Of course I don't know him and have no reason to not like him. Just saying he isn't having his best year so I wonder if much of his success was crewman related opposed to his ability to adapt to anything.

Even though I may not know you, I

Since no one actually posted a # of cars for the race. I will say 49. It was a very successful event last year due to the hype & payoff. It paid off with an enormous amount of entries. A crowd like other at the Speed Palace. Now that reality has set in & the invaders other than Brownie did not fare well it makes for a very expensive trip to head east and race even if they plan on staying around for the huge pay outs over the next 4 weekends.

The race itself was a stinker for all but the 69k who dominated.

Go LD & keep the $$ money here in Pa.

I am not sure Rico is a hired gun family owned equipment  ...Rico is working with a very young crew i think the oldest is like 23 or so and they are getting better  the crew cheif just happens to be the son of Schatz crew chief i think in time there will be more improvement .JMO

How about Justin Henderson? Just announced he will be back in PA for a handful of races in the #35 that Tyler Walker ran last season.

Aaaaand I'm a jackass, because there is no dash in the Tuscarora 50 format.  If there are 47 or fewer cars the format looks like this; Two groups for qualifying. The top 8 from each group will be inverted for 10 lap heats  (Fast timer from group A starts 4th in heat 1 and fast timer for group B starts 4th in heat 3). Then it looks like your top four for the A main will line up in the following way; winner of heat 2 (P1), winner of heat 4 (p2), winner of heat 1 (P3), and winner of heat 3 (P4).

If there are 48 or more cars the format looks like this; Two groups for qualifying. The top 12 from each group will be inverted for 8 lap heats  (Fast timer from group A starts 4th in heat 1 and fast timer for group B starts 4th in heat 4). Then the top six for the A main will line up in the following way; winner of heat 3 (P1), winner of heat 6 (p2), winner of heat 2 (P3), and winner of heat 5 (P4), winner of heat 1 (P5), and winner of heat 4 (P6).

Did they run it like this last year?  If they did, somehow I have completely blocked it out of my memory.
