Its in his genes. Grandpa Lenard was a good car builder and racer and Terry has been able to basically just race and promote.To be a full time racer you need to win or do well as theres no unemplyment or benefits ,just merchandise sales and,sponsorships which usually go to car and a % of the winnings are what you have to live on.Tough to be an owner driver but Austin has one of the few rides where a helmet bag and gear are what it takes. He will probably at one point hope to move up but looks like 2KS has good enough equiptment to compete with the good teams they just arent able to travel.
