Asparagus Cup Recap & Results: Australian super-star James McFadden started 11th and charged through the pack to grab the lead from Willie Croft on lap 22. The pair proceeded to go back and forth until Croft spun around, forcing him to the rear. After that McFadden checked out to take the $10,000 win aboard the Willie Kahne owned 51.

The racing behind him was fantastic however, and hands down the best since the Stockton Dirt Track was re-configured. Gio Scelzi led early and came home second, with Tanner Thorson winning out in an entertaining battle with Sean Becker to claim third. 31 cars were on hand for the inaugural race.

A-main finish: 1. 51 James Mcfadden, 2. 41 Gio Scelzi, 3. 3C Tanner Thorson, 4. 88N Sean Becker, 5. 42X Tim Kaeding, 6. 5H Buddy Kofoid, 7. 3 JJ Hickle, 8. 16 Andy Gregg, 9. 22L Garren Linder, 10. 41S Dominic Scelzi, 11. 63 Geoff Ensign, 12. 5 Kalib Henry, 13. 7K Steven Kent, 14. 29 Willie Croft, 15. P37 Matt Peterson, 16. 7 John Carney, 17. 17 Ryan Bernal, 18. 2K Kyle Offill, 19. 33H Eric Humphries, 20. 9L Cody Lamar, 21. 56 Justin Sanders, 22. 91C Shawn Conde
