Not sure how unique or not this tidbit is, last night's show at Manzy featured 8 Former WoO Rookie of the Year honorees:

1986: Johnny Herrera, 1995: Randy Hannagan, 1996: Joey Saldana, 1997: Donny Schatz

1999: Tim Shaffer, 2003: Jason Sides, 2005: Shane Stewart, 2006: Chad Kemenah

Collectively, when or have there been that many on a single night of WoO competition other than last night in recent history? Last year was bittersweet as some shows-out of former rookie trophy holders-all but 3 were on tour...

Always great to hear about some of the "What ever happened to's?". Hopefully, we'll hear those same names and maybe a few more tonight.

I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

...over the last few years there has been some races at Eldora, Attica, Lernerville, and Williams Grove where you can see anywhere from 9-11 former WoO Rookies of the Year when you add Dale Blaney, Stevie Smith, Jeff Shepard, and Greg Hodnett...

...that number reaches as many as 12 if you go back to when Kraig Kinser was still racing sprint cars...

... I would think the highest total for 2007 would be the Knoxville Nationals with 10...(90) Stevie Smith, (93) Greg Hodnett, (95) Randy Hannagan, (96) Joey Saldana, (97) Donny Schatz, (99) Tim Shaffer, (01) Jeff Shepard, (03) Jason Sides, (05) Shane Stewart, and (06) Chad Kemenah...

...the 2007 Williams Grove National Open just had 9 in the field...(90) Stevie Smith, (93) Greg Hodnett, (95) Randy Hannagan, (96) Joey Saldana, (97) Donny Schatz, (99) Tim Shaffer, (01) Jeff Shepard, (03) Jason Sides, and (06) Chad Kemenah...

...2007 Kings Royal had 9 as well...(90) Stevie Smith, (95) Randy Hannagan, (96) Joey Saldana, (97) Donny Schatz, (98) Dale Blaney, (99) Tim Shaffer, (03) Jason Sides, (05) Shane Stewart, and (06) Chad Kemenah...

Appreciate that, Gas. Was gonna do like the search past results but got lazy and knew I could count on the Hosers to bust it out for me.
