This will be the first World Finals for me and my 14 yr old son. Was wondering if we should bring seat cushions/chairs, coolers with drinks/snacks, what do do before the 4pm starts in Charlotte or racetrack area, places to eat, etc. Thanx in advance.

It's crazy how the weather is here.  Winter always hits the second someone unloads a sprint car at the World Finals.  I was in flip flops, shorts, and a t-shirt tonight at the shop pressure washing my car.  Thursday night I'll probably be in three coats over a hoodie with gloves on.

It looks like it's going to be typical weather down there, 70s during the day, low 50s at night which is why I think alot of newbies freeze.

I would suggest getting a pit pass one of the nights, the amount of cars is awesome, all top notch equipment.

This event is probably 2nd only to Knoxville, when the track is good, it can be some of the best racing you'll see. Last year, it was uncharacteristically rainy and the track suffered for it. This year, forecast looks good which will likely mean slick track and some really good racing.
