After the first night of the head to head matchup between Knoxville and Badlands, here are my numbers based on my 410 Driver Ratings numbers (http://www.blumberglegalforms.com/blazer3/Racing/Ratings.html)
Now, of course, the Badlands race had a very high purse that increased the Rating for that race. We will see next week when its more about comparing similar shows. Badlands also had a bump inviting NOSA drivers, even though most of those drivers are not rated high.
Here are my ratings numbers, comparing the races on Saturday, along with the previous Knoxville race as a comparison...
Total race rating (rating of all races - currently 597)
170 - Badlands 5/21
351 - Knoxville 5/21
228 - Knoxville 5/14
Other total race rating numbers...
Previous worst NSL rating for Knoxville was 154, on 8/29/15
Previous worst rating for Knoxville was 231, on 6/20/15
Previous worst rating for NSL was 251, on 9/11/2015 at Eagle,NE
Average rating of top 10 rated drivers there...
35.6 - Badlands 5/21
68.7 - Knoxville 5/21
35.6 - Knoxville 5/14
Average rating of top 20 rated drivers there...
35.6 - Badlands 5/21
233.8 - Knoxville 5/21
126.9 - Knoxville 5/14
Average rating of all drivers at race...
258.2 - Badlands 5/21
247.9 - Knoxville 5/21
193.8 - Knoxville 5/14
So it looks like the initial Badlands race definitely had an impact on Knoxville for race rating and overall quality of field. Like I said, we'll see more in the coming weeks when its regular shows versus regular shows.
