I take a Polaris Ranger and it gets registered. The police have to do an inspection the first year and you have to have proof of insurance. I just paid my money last year and got a sticker because it was the same machine.

is the registration avalible from the track or city?, ill have to look back on some posts on here,but, I recall some discussion on this topic, anyhow, a utv is considered a Kart?

You have to have a registration from the city to be on city streets and a sticker from the track to be on its property.
