I'm not an engine builder but, if you choke down the injectors would it make a difference if the heads were ported? Couldn't you use the smaller injectors like a restrictor plate?

Yes, using a smaller stack size would be like a restrictor plate. If the stack size was reduced to a smaller size it wouldn't matter if the head was ported or not.

this is a very interesting thread and i don't often put my 2 cents in.....BigDog seems to be very well informed about heads.....as so do a lot of other ppl....BUT....he seems to be overlooking the FACT that if you use a restrictor plate of any kind,the porting and polishing are just that MORE important....which by the way is a major reason for the tech-head....porting and polishing can very easily cost MORE than the heads....that's why the rules state NO ALTERATIONS....and BTW....if the logo was missing from his heads(which changes the flow a LOT)....prerace inspection should have nipped it in the bud.....that's what God made little mirrors for,lol....CC's are different animal....can't believe they didn't strip him of his points for the year....bad decision....(or rule)....IMO.....enough rambling....life's short,play hard.

I listened to his interview and he said over and over again that he pays his own way, money out of his pocket, as if that was a excuse. What about the money he took out of his competitors pockets? I don't know him, never seen him race but as far as I could tell he still doesn't get it. Oh, and his I don't know that much about engines etc..well, did you guys buy that? Looking from the outside (ASCS just moved into AZ and the only good thing about that deal was they left the wings off) I'm not sure he got spanked hard enough.
