Jackhole, you have finally got it. Guy sets up the car to where the car will run. Guys cars have always worked well on dry slick tracks ( and only God and Guy know why ) and alot of drivers do not know how to drive on that kind of track so they run where they think it will work for them. HOWEVER the car isn't set up to run there so the car does not perform. As I said in my other post, IF Dustin can trust Guys set ups and run where he is told they have a fighting chance. BUT there has to be alot of understanding between the two of them. To understand why he is told to drive certain ways and places on the track to run and that Guy has to learn Dustins way of explaining what the car is doing, Kinda brings the movie Days of Thunder into play. If the two can figure that out they will be a very stong force to recond with.

BUT the way you have worded some of your posts you are disrespectful to Guy, his Family, His crew, His choice of drivers, and all of their families and sponcers. That make you into a BASHER. Everyone knows that Guy has gone thru alot of drivers in the past, However how many of those drivers would jump on the chance to help Guy if he needed a driver again for a few races or to kickstart a poor season, Probally ALL OF THEM. So make your point with ONE post and drop it cause by bringing back the same crap time after time is old and upsets more people. NOW if someone bashes what you have said you have the right to defend your post just quit bringing up the same crap. Defend what you said with reasons not the same post 2 days earlier

Another good post here too Pittroll. I could have come on here to and defended Guy/Dustin, but why waste my time. My daughter does a good job at that. Because these last 2 post hit the nail right on the head. Most likely this jackhole person is one of those grandstand racers that has never owned or even worked with a team, so he doesn't know what it really is all about. Whether your talking about Dustin or Forbrook Motorsports. If jackhole had any balls, he would idenify himself with a name and give us some back ground on how many beers he drinks each night at the races. Then maybe the 90% that do know what is going on, will understand what jackhole is made up as.

Haha, I am sure I have been standing next to you plenty of night during the races.

Funny thing is I thought 90% of the people felt the way I did about Guy?

It is cool though, You guys have your opinion on that man and rest of the racing community has another. I suppose that is allowed to happen.

Most people on here know who I am and I introduce myself all the time to people at races.

Hell, I even have my email at the bottom of my posts but if you really want to know it is Geoff Dye and I know nothing about racing ever.

I have not been trying to pick a fight with you. I am sorry if that is what you think. You have had no reason to get mad at me cause I have not said anything bad about Dustin and right now I would assume in my life I never will.

I just made it a point to post on the fact I hope he does not get scrwed over by Guy and you went into it.

Have fun and good luck to Dustin, his family and his friends....geez

Jackhole, EXPLAIN just HOW Guy will or could screw over Dustin??? Dustin is a HIRED GUN. That is it, that is all. If Guy feels it is not working out he has every right in the world to let him go, fire him or put a temporary driver in the car if he would like to. THAT IS CALLED THE OWNER RIGHTS, HE MAKES ALL THE DECISSIONS, HE IS IN ALL RIGHTS GOD. HE HAS THE FINAL SAY. Now since the sponcers came with Dustin I can only guess that they have some kind of back up plan if Guy does remove him from the car. That the sponsership will go back with Dustin.

ask many drivers about that Sponsor plan to get the money back to the driver. It never happens. and i am not just talking about this kind of situation. Stuff like that happens to atleast 1 driver every season at knoxville where the owner gets the sponsor money and fires the driver before even half of it is gone. If it is a driver sponsor then it is up to the driver to hand it to the owner at once or in payments. Several people hand it at once trusting someone and get screwed. I know of one guy personally at Knoxville who gave his odd thousands of $ at once trusting hte person and was kicked out and maybe after 1/3 of the money could have been spent on the car. The sponsor was going to go after the money but the driver just said forget it.

I mean I like your idea of car owners being able ot be trusted but it is just not really that way alot of the time. If Dustin gets kicked from the car it is not him getting screwed. Getting screwed comes in another form of money or such. It would be nice to turst all the owners but in the recents years it is just not the case and I am with you. I wish it was too but it not hte case in recent years.

Jack. Buddy just give it up. People think asking for names is some sort of classy move that puts them above and beyond those who are hear to just discuss an opinion. What does someone's name really have to do with it anyway? We're all here to share thoughts, opinions, and whatever else. It's not like someone is on here talkin all sorts of demeaning shit that's going to do harm to someone. People only want names so they can spread it along with the crap THEY are starting that they accuse someone else of starting first. Hell I've known people here in Oklahoma that put a bounty out on 1 fella to get his name. And for what? What's a person goin to do with a name? Out side of malicious intent there isn't a whole lot. So yeah there's my take on your name Jackhole. In the end your name doesn't mean Jack.lol.

BTW I agree completely with Jack about Guy Forbrook. I don't have an opinion on him personally as I have not heard 1 thing about him. But I do hear/see how often DIFFERENT drivers are flying in and out and around the track in that car. And there hasn't really ever been a good explanation for it. I don't know much about Distin Lindquist, bit I saw him at the 06' 360 Nationals and thought he had a lot of talent and probably a good future ahead as well. One can only hope that history does not repeat itself with Mr. Forbrook. Something is definitely strange about that Guy. lol. However best of luck to Dustin Lindquist as whichever way you slice it is an excellent opportunity for him.

o btw. my name is Cody Morris. Better known as CCC. I can usually be found in the Oklahoma Forum.

Jakehole22, You must have helped Roger Rager when he came out of retirement in 96 or 97, you did a good job getting him around the track after he was retired for all those years. Good to see the old guy's come back that all us young people could only hear about. I would have liked to see alot of those older guys that were true outlaws.

No, I never helped him but I would have. Good old true outlaws are a good way to learn. Hear some crazy stories too. Anyway this thread is done for me. Good Luck to Dustin and God Speed in 2007.

and you have to ask my dad about that. My dad had an interesting way of getting the race track to do things they needed to do.

Jackhole, do you really think that Dustin and his family went into this thing blind?? Everyone has seen the changes that go on in the Frobrook #5 car and UP TIL NOW it has always been Guy's money and Guy's sponsers. Now he has had sponsers drop him after a long time. Now with Dustin coming aboard Dustin maybe bringing some money with too. That was something that was never really mention and discussed here. So I am not sure where you are coming from saying his ROOKIE Mistakes? I also have been around racing for a long while and have drivers in my family who have drove for other owners. The sponserships that they brought to the team actually paid the drivers and left it up to them to get it to the car owner.

THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT SHOULD WORRY ABOUT THAT IS GUY AND DUSTIN'S SPONSERS ON WHO THEY PAY. It is real easy to say "Hey I am sponsering Dustin and either the money goes with him or it doesn't go on the car" Basically that is a matter that Dustin and Guy and the Sponsers need to work out and NOBODY here should even be worried about it. WHY START CRAP SAYING "I AM TRYNG TO PROTECT A ROOKIE FROM MAKING MISTAKES" Your coming on here tring to be the so called HERO for the cause and your actually causing un needed stress. I am sure that Dustin is reading all of this and laughing but he is also got to be thinking to himself and second guessing things. ALL BECAUSE OF MR> JACKHOLE wants to claim he saved Dustin from being screwed. You claim to know things that Guy has done that is "SHADY" fine maybe he has, ARE YOU PERFECT?? You may claim to be but I highly doubt anyone with your mouth and opinions stays out of trouble too often.

Get over it. I'm done with this.

Good Luck Dustin, and the Frobrook #5 Team.

Have a fun season at Knoxville and any other tracks you goto Jackhole. Stop by the 4s car after knoxville sometime and we'll put a couple of cold ones down and look back at this and laugh

Cory

David, did a search at the top of page and found the date. Took about 2 minutes. Oh, and on the very first page, "Fotowiz" picked June 1st.
