Mike , I was wondering about that track that was just north of the Duncan Y on Hwy.81, you can still see the banking in the turns on both ends, Mike with Thriller Photo Jackson took some pics of it a while back, my dad said they ran Midgets there a couple of times. Maybe in the late 40's to early 50's he was not sure, said he thought it was after he got back from WW II that he went to a show with his brother.
Just wondered if you and or your dad every went to a race there and what was it called???.
From looking at it when driving by it sure looks like stratightaway runs almost where Hwy. 81 is now.

My Dad did go to the races at the Duncan "Y" a few times to watch the midgets run and than the coupes got popular and the midgets quit running there. Clinton Herring owned a midget that Gilbert Hutson drove a few times. This era was the early '50's. I never got to go to the Duncan "Y". If you check out the Map Blast web site you can do a search by getting driving directions to Marlow and than scroll down till you can see the track from the air.
