I think alot of small town guys have similar stories. My question is, what's Kyle's excuse? He's had more exposure to the world than most of us combined. He's 27 years old which is well old enough to not be able to use the immature excuse. The more I think about it, the more I question his integrity and if he trully is who we think he is.

He's also half asian which can subject you to some unfriendly attitudes. 

He comes across as immature especially in the corporate setting of NASCAR. i don't think he's racist, but he said a racist term and like others if I dropped that at the office, I'd be canned immediately. This notion of a free pass is silly. 

Kyle Larson has been released from Chip Ganassi Racing. 

It probably boils down to sponsors from his other teams pressuring him, as well as the loss of sponsors on Kyle's car. I'm sure PNC bank for instance (one of their Indycar sponsors) also does not want to be associated with CGR if they don't distance themselves from Larson. A lot of people hoping he goes to SHR may be disappointed as well, not only does SHR have several cars with sponsors who may not want to be associated with Larson even just by way of being on the same team as him, but also Haas has an F1 team to think about as well with much more liberal European fans who are especially not accepting of even the appearence of racism. As I said before I think we will see Kyle at a lot more dirt races going forward. The good thing for Kyle is that he has the talent to make a good living in dirt racing, and he will likely be dominant if he focuses solely on it. 

I just read the press release. 

He's screwed.  I hope he has had someone managing his $$$.  If so, he can probably finance his own sprint car team for as long as he wants to race.  If he blew a bunch of his cash, he's not going to run 25 years on the World of Outlaws tour out of pocket.  

I cannot see anyone calling him to run their car...........not in 2020 or 2021 anyways.  Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see it.  

Wow.  Stupid move on his part.  Over playing a video game to boot.  Couple of things...people acting all indignant about this, as well they should, but who on this site has never said that word or a word that shouldnt be said??  

Hes a good driver and he will get another shot.  Kurt Busch was accused of choking his gf and he got another ride.  

Met him before and he seems like a good kid.  People make mistakes.

Ray Lewis?  He had a good career after his screwups.

Chevrolet has terminated Larson's personal agreement. This can't be good news for WoO team as the primary sponsorship was Chevrolet Accessories for 2020.

I would guess if he does not take a racing hiatus altogether he will likely be found racing local/regional races for awhile. Things like PA and Ohio Speedweek, and the bigger WoO shows. I can't imagine he is going to commit to replacing Macedo on the WoO but I could be wrong. To be honest I would not be surprised if there WoO wanted him to take a break from their races as well given their sponsorship ties to big companies as well. I would imagine NOS wouldn't be cool with them just ignoring what happened but I could be wrong. The places he will be most welcome at this point are places like Attica/Lincoln/Port/Knoxville/etc. regular shows. If he isn't back in NASCAR next year I could def see him signing up for WoO and giving TSR/KLR the biggest challenge they have faced in the last decade for the points championship. Someone like Kyle could make a really good living just running dirt races honestly so losing that NASCAR money is a big hit but not the end of the world most of us would love to make what he can make just running sprints. 

     This might involve some entities that were wishing they could cut some sponsorship expenses due to the economic situation of the country right now. He gave them an easy out.

Amazing one six letter word used during a reality game thats  not even in the dictionary can have such consequences.I enjoy watching Larson race anything and hope this can be resolved. I thought He would get a chance to run Indy 500 but Chip was his best hope. We all make mistakes and sometimes they are hard to take back. Give it a couple weeks and it wont be front page and life will go on. Another result of Covid-19 and the battle with an invisable disease. The biggest thing he would miss about NASCAR is the money as I think he has more fun and fans in Midgets and Sprints. I could see Stewart-Hass as a great team that is not as politically correct as some welcoming him.

And I will be wearing his shirt the whole time. The kid screwed up but to completely destroy his career over it is typical overreaction.

Just read that Coca-Cola dropped him months ago for something obviously unrelated so they have no comment on the matter.... Maybe this is old news to some of you, caught me off guard though.

Shortie12, the Covid-19 was not to blame for Kyle's demise. Unfortunately he self destructed his own demise. I can remember eight months ago when everyone was on my ass tighter than bark on a hemlock tree when I said this would happen to Brad Sweet after his gaff on post Nationals interview. I believe that approximately 20 people called me just about everything in the book and then some. I am glad that it did not happen to Brad and KKR, but it should have sent a message to people who live and race on someone else's dime. I can only imagine how deep it hurt for CGR to make their decision today and have to announce the firing of Kyle Larson, after seven years of investment in him.

We have a winner! I will say this likely applies to all of them. Taking the high road is not yanking your support in this case with Kyle. Staying the course and making a statement like Plan B did reflected in a post prior to this is. At least in a world I am interested in existing in.

I didn't say that. They may have expected him to win a NASCAR championship by now or more races. This will allow them to put their money on a new horse they think will get them there faster sooner than they would have been able to otherwise. We all know the long term smart money is with Kyle and it still is. I look forward to seeing this bite them all in the ass. Kyle has way too much class but I would run it up every one of their asses when it happens.

Yeaaaah, not sure now would be the time to be boasting up Mr. Larson's class.

It amazes me that people on here could actually think this is the companies' fault for wanting to get away from Larson right now and that those companies should have this "run up their asses."

There is no major company out there that would stick with a representiative who did what Larson did.
