I just can't believe you people still try to put him in the likes of the guys you have mentioned.......these guys have done amazing things in there careers..... How come now one has mentioned the fact that gravel caught , passed and left Larson before he flipped on his own.... Yes gravel made a mistake on his own which all races do but if he don't mess up Larson doesn't win.....FACT.....as long as you guys keep hyping him up he will go further..... Ohhhhh ps in k&n series he wins against 15 year olds yet in arca he stuffed it in the fence on his own yet no one mentions that....is he good , yes but I will go out on a limb and say he would have to be as lucky as he is good.......all I'm Gunna say is he defiantly came around at the right time....
|
so let me get this correct, gravel makes a mistake and flips driving a sprint car on dirt like he has done for years, and he is given a pass.
larson bounces off the wall in at the fastest track in the nation, in a car he has never driven, in a series he has never driven in, at a track he has never seen and he is bashed for it.
you are going to compare flipping out of the lead, on your own, in something you do every day, to bouncing off the wall in a one off event that you have no prior experience in?
nice to know you have to dig so deep to find so little.
are you will's dad? or his mom? or are you really will?

For the Gravel taking the lead thing, He caught , Larson behind a slower white 4 car. Once Gravel got buy, you can see Kyle was catching back up to the 89g and passing him at the same time Gravel slid into the wall. If he naver went over, he still would have been passed back at that vary same time.

Dude what race were you lookin at.... Larson wasn't anywhere near gravel..... Just accept that he would
have got beat...It's ok......

Watch the video retard. You can see Gravel getting caught by the 1k and 83 after getting by the slow, white #4 car. Where was Gravel tonight to backup his strong run, in the back of the B. Where was Kyle to back up his, oh yeah, victory lane!

but he didn't get beat...did he? he got the money, he got the trophy, he got to go to victory lane.
if kyle would have flipped out of the lead, on his own, you would be here telling us how that shows he is no good.
you just said yes it is true gravel made a mistake on his own, which some drivers do, like it was no big deal, then slam larson for making a mistake that put him in the wall at michigan.
you can't have it both ways.
we get it. both drivers have made mistakes.
still kyle won two nights in a row. there is no mistaking that.

the fastest stock car track in the nation. the fastest they have gone in 25 years. yep there are faster tracks for other cars, but not for stock cars. fastest track the arca cars run at. you really need to get up to speed.
kyle was in his first arca race. where did he drive that car before?

A great time to be a sprint car racing fan. Lots of promising young drivers. Proclamations of the demise of sprint car racing are to be greeted with skepticism.

I agree, it's a great time for sprint car fans! Watch for my next column in Sprint Car and Midget magazine. I only had so much room, couldn't name all the talent out there!

To those jealous folks being negative about Kyle Larson, he is a human being and he can make mistakes, on and off the racetrack, and he will not win every race he enters...but I am telling you that I have never personally witnessed anyone like him in my lifetime!
The car control he has, in anything he straps into, is phenomenal!
To quote an experienced driver last night at Wayne County Speedway, "He is freak of nature"!
He has top drivers in NASCAR and Indy Car shaking their head with amazement on what he can do!
On top of all his talent, he is a really polite young man.

We can now add Brad Doty to the list of people who have an expert opinion (which already includes Keith Kunz) who have on this very message board essentially said that Will Champagne is a complete idiot. Not directly of course. But in so many words. Good enough for me. Well - actually - if it were up to me I would mandate that Will and all others like him have to have a big bold black "L" (for loser) tatooed on their forehead to make them easier to identify. But for now this will work :-).

Brad alot was said about Tyler Walker in the late 90s but what do you expect when money bought all the best of the best. Im sorry i prefer to rout for the guys like Hockett who did alot more with alot less and this country is littered with em but its the over hyped fans that turn off kyle to alot of folks and im not the only one.
I don't aim to please.
I aim to hit the target.

Kyle has beat the WOO, swept the 4 -crown nationals in his first time at Eldora, won nearly every USAC sprint/midget race he entered last year at new tracks despite not having much wingless experience, King of california 410's, wins the first two OH speedweek races again at tracks he's never seen before over the likes of Blaney, Shaffer, Stevie Smith, Shane Stewart, McMahon, Dewease, the tough OH locals. The kid wins in any car he jumps in and at tracks he's unfamiliar with, against the tougfhest competition in the business. Anyone who is not impressed obviously has no clue how difficult this sport really is. Name one other driver who has accomplished what Kyle has at the age of 20. There are none.

First off, it's not hype when you back it up by parking it in VL as he's done with everything he's driven. I don't think he started out with a lot of money behind him either. He's earned every ride he's got, nothing was given. I don't see any corporate sponsorship on the 1K. Name the driver who has done "a lot more" at the age of 20.
I'm not part of the hype machine either. I've never seen him race and never even heard of him at all until last year, but his accomplishments in sprint car racing at the age of 20 are unparalleled. I can't help but be impressed.

Ya, because this family just wreaks of money ;) I live a few blocks from where this pic was taken and I can tell you your first thought driving through the neighborhood ins't wow look at all the money. You should be a big fan because they have done it the old fashioned way, they have earned it! (Kyle and his family)

Thats kind of the fun part of races, the person that crosses the checkers first at the end is considered the winner, not the person that turns the fastest lap. Good to see your really reaching though for reasons to run someone down, but changing the rules of a race probably isn't going to do it.

come on now, you missed 21wforacers point, he's not worried about facts, he's here to run someone down that he feels is doing better than him in his life, I would be surprised if he even likes races, he likely just goes to be the guy in the pits that walks around to the haulers and complains about the other teams and how if he would just have more money he could be racing too. Then as he walks away the race team just laughs at how much of a douche that guy was. Look at his post history, every post is just him ripping a driver or being a complete ass to someone for there post cause he thinks he's so much superior.
I sure hope that Doty doesn't waste his time replying to that drivel he replied to his msg with either.

Now, now. Don't add to Will's fire. He's amazing, but to say he won nearly every usac midget/ sprint race he entered is a little bold. He was 2 for 8 in usac national sprint races, 3 for 9 including the usac cra race he won, and 4 for 21 in usac midgets. 6 for 23 if you count the non-sanctioned belleville midget nationals. When you add two silver crown wins, one woo win, one ascs national win, two copper on dirt midget wins, two powri midget wins, an ascs northwest win and speedweek championship, and 3 california 360 wins, including one at the trophy cup, oh and a midget win in new zealand... I count 11 midget wins, 5 360 winged sprint wins, 1 410 winged sprint win, 3 wingless 410 sprint car wins, and 2 silver crown wins. 22 total in 2011, very impressive.
2012 so far... 3 midget wins including a preliminary night at the chili bowl, 3 non-wing 410 sprint car wins, 2 non-wing 360 sprint car wins, 3 410 winged sprint wins, and 3 stock car wins, 14 total, in June.
