A few Cali fans come on here and get on the Posse Cheerleaders but that's because they win at a lot of different tracks not generally just one (Yeah Lincoln has been your way for a couple of years but the Outlaws owned for the first 25).  They have a right they have produced better racers as far as Outlaw Drivers go.  I have been to dozens and dozens of CA W of O shows and they don't react anywhere near the way the Posse Cheerleaders do, not even close.  They just want to see a good race, unlike the Posseville fan who just wants them to win inspite of how bad the race night is, like Sunday.....Your Welcome...

Can you confirm the years when this 25 year period of time occured?  Sounds like ANOTHER exaggeration on your part.

So, the Posse can no longer just win, they have to win with style points?

Would I rather see a PA guy drive from 15th to win rather than start up front?  Sure.  A win is a win though.  The track and format was the same for all drivers involved.

I was just providing the list.  I figured I would let each person draw their own conclusions.

I'm assuming you used common core math to come up with your 25 year figure.

If you want to take some of the Posse logic on here, it seems to me that the highest finishing local track regular in the field was a Knoxville regular in fourth place. What gives with that?

I'm a Posse fan but don't take it that seriously, its just fun to root for somebody.

But here's what Bob Trostle (from Iowa & certainly knowledgeable) had to say in his book:

".... he came back from Pennsylvania about midseason. That part of the season he spent out there made a real racer out of him. Thats what you needed to do, go out there & spend a year, cause I tell you what, Central Pennsylvania is definitely the toughest place in the world to race. They have guys out there that you don't even hear of that are so fast its unbelievable. A lot of their back markers can hold their own any place in the country."

OK, he was talking about 1974, but he was saying this when the book was written recently, talking in the present tense. OK, I know Posse hasn't been so great at Nationals....

Go argue with Bob ;)

Kauffman, Rahmer, Dewease, Pauch, Shaffer, Kreitz, Chesson, Snellbaker, Shepard, Hodnett, Brian Jr., etc. all beat the Outlaws in Posse cars away from the Grove.  That's just off the top of my head, and may or may not have been Outlaw sanctioned but they were there.  Dietrich also because of Lincoln.

Regardless, congrats to the Black Bandit for winning another National Open! Batted .500 at the Grove (6 for 12)! Maybe has 9 or 10 wins there if full-time?  Or challenges Kauffman's season record of 13 wins?  With today's lack of passing, 13 would have been unbelievable!!

I am sorry, it was 37 years, the 25 number was just an arbritary number that meant that for a LONG TIME THE OUTLAWS OWNED THE POSSE AT LINCOLN FOR THE MOST PART, until recently.  Is that better ladies???  Until the last dozen years they owned the Posse at the Grove also, maybe somebody will post that also.  Let's try and not forget the All-Time Outlaw winners at the Grove are Steve Kinser, Donny Schatz, Mark Kinser and Mr. Samuel Swindell.....What's worse than a Whiny Cheerleader, a nit-pickin' Whiny Cheerleader....

Still unable to correctly calculate the number of years from your original statement so you change the statement.  Anger is a typical response to incompetency.

Why was it that Johnson, Madsen, McMahon, Saldana, Allen, Gravel and even Tim Shaffer were all either in the C or B mains on sunday? Is it because theyre just THAT bad or the field of cars was just that tough?

Theres multiple WoO wins, All Star wins and All Star championships between those drivers so i dont think theyre THAT bad..

In case you weren't aware, where you qualified on Sunday determined where you ended up for the most part.  A real race fan would have figured that out already, but most cheerleaders couldn't, which are you, lol?

Beardman, I laugh with every single post, the anger comes from those being made fun of with the real facts.  Who cares how many years it was, other than the last few years the Outlaws DOMINATED Lincoln, don't care how you look at it, not sure why you can't figure it out, did you ride the short bus to school?  Just askin'....

Stevie didn't win it last year. David Gravel won last year. He got by Smith Jr. late in the race for the win last year. Smith faded at the end of last year's race after getting very loose getting in to turn 1.  Gravel was driving a California based car. Not midwest, not Knoxville, Not Posse.  California is on the West coast.  Amazing what some people forget after just 1 year.

Faded my ass Gravel punted him.

Glad he won. Very deserving and hard working. Stevie had 15-20 years of toug times after having it all. (WoO big time rides with IR, etc) Geeze, think about where you were and what you were doing 25 years ago and what your priorites, interests, work focus was. I am amazed at these guys who spend a lifetime thinging day in and day out how to get around an oval quicker the next time out for 30-50 years. Nice guy, so glad he got the W.
