He barely remembers where the podium is anymore, I don't want to here that. Il be in k-vile tonight too, and I'll bet $100 he isn't on podium tonight, let me know!

Bet that was a show worth your money.

We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

Quit whining about Sammy. I seen Steve, Mark Kinser do the same to Sammy back in the day. If the guy is to slow move him out of the way. Was at Lernerville when Mark kinser drove right over Sammy in the 1990's. Racing is racing. Nobody should have any any friends. These guys are super competitive people, they all want to win. As far as Sammy he is legend, I would like to see you at his age out there running against the younger competition. All you younger people complain about him, get over it.

Well I would say Brown should watch Rico at the Ironman. Everyone knows when he starts a slider the only thing stopping him is the cushion or the left side of your car. Ask Sam's new teammate Paul.

Good ole' No. 1 at it again during his heat at the Cappy. Chops Rico's front end off going into turn one and sends him spinning.

It ain't a real race until Sammy pisses somone off.

Love to see someone park him, see how it feels to race with someone like himself.

It's a damn shame those Swindells weren't born with vaginas.

Unfortunately,  I think the days of any driver (much less Slammy....I am sure he gets watched extra close) getting punched are over.   Too many security guards who think that someone throwing a punch (whether deserved or not) is akin to murder.

Would really love to know what happened on the last lap... Cushion feed didn't give a good view but Bokhoven said McMahan got into the wall and Sammy was right in front of him at the checkered. Did No. 1 give No. 51 some help into the fence? Anyone there in person catch it?

Hey, you'll take all the fun away if people have to deal with facts from an eyewitness account and not able to roll with their bias. You Killjoy you.

Not a Sammy fanboy nor do I hate/bash him so I can take an objective approach to this.  It was a “bad” move he pulled on Brownie.  How “bad” is up for discussion.  Terrible, nah, but a bit bad nonetheless.

We’ve all seen proper slide jobs.  They can be a thing of beauty.  There’s a natural progression and a natural “trajectory” to a slide job.  Sometimes a slide job is so good you can see it before a driver dive bombs into the turn.  Again they’re a thing of beauty.  And again they have a gradual trajectory to them that takes, depending on track size and layout, 2 corners to complete.  Sammy started fine but took the “normal” slide job trajectory and “shortened it” if that makes sense.  Instead of a gradual progression he dive bombs and goes up the track “quicker” than a normal slide job does.  He shortened the slide job and chopped Brownie’s front end.  Not the worst thing ever seen on the track, but in “shortening” up the slide job he purposely chopped the front of the car he was passing.

The whole “Brown could’ve/should’ve lifted” argument is meh IMO.  I don’t think he expected the slide job to come up so fast/abruptly leaving him not enough time to lift up.

Also, the whole “that’s racing argument” lends itself better to Nascar or closed wheel racing.  Yeah sprint cars bump, etc. But chopping a guy’s front end in open wheel racing it’s a lot more dangerous than “rubbin tires” in Nascar or another closed wheel form of racing.  Nothing happened in this case but it easily could’ve to either car.  Sammy couldv’e blown a RR, hit the cushion and flipped into the wall.  He could’ve pushed Brownie into the cushion and caused a flip, etc.

Yeah they bump but its gamble when seemingly on purpose in open wheel racing in cars that weigh 1400lbs.

The Sammy haters of the bleachers are always full of crap! ive seen driver after driver do the same exact thing over and over. Brown included. But when Sammy does it it's like the haters have never seen it before. It's really simple.... When someone is faster than you, sure you race them hard. But when they put a move on you that is ninety percent complete, you let them go and chase hell out of them and find a faster way than they have. Brown should have turned underneath and held as much momentum as he could have. That's what the best do!
