Take it easy on her. She is just wishing her friend good luck in a new adventure. She just has to realize the facts of a Guy car ride. I'll say it again. Make sure you tell him to not give ALL his Sponsor money up front at once. Cause 2 races later he might not be racing that car and out thousands.

Hey! Give these guys a chance. When Steve Kinser started in Karls sprint there were people saying he didn't have enough experience and he turned out pretty good. The same was said about most young drivers, Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon Jimmy Johnson Denny Hamlin to name a few. Five or six years ago Jimmy Johnson had very little oval track experience and here in 2006 he made over 15 million dollars. Good luck to this teamand everybody out there have happy holidays. Charlie you need to realize all these guys on the message board without races to go to get a litlle antsy and mouthy this time of year, but most of them are pretty good guys. You also must realize they are operating with very little female supervision and you know how that is.-------Take care and welcome to the message board.

Bud, I like your way of thinking! That is so true! They all have to start somewhere.

Yeah, Wayne Johnson would have been a great driver for Forbrooks ride too but that didn't last long. Who knows, when Dustin proves himself and Guy decides to make a change, there is a good chance that Dustin will be back in the car later in the year or within the next couple of years as the same drivers tend to come, go, comeback and be gone again.
And Michael, can't give my Ryan Craighead 8x10 away. That picture means alot too me. But, I will mention you and Kelly when I update my site just because you mentioned tidbits - twice.
Oh, and so she will know, my name is David Smith Jr from Oklahoma City. That is my full name from first to last but you don't get my middle name. So then, there should be no question.
David Smith Jr.

I still don't think they get we have nothing against Dustin. Matter of fact we are helping by giving them a heads up.

No, I see your point about the sponsorship thing but I have nothing to do with that. That's all up to his sponsors.

I hope that Forbrook doesn't do to Dustin what he ahs done to others; take the money and put it in his pocket then give thekid medicore stuff and then blame him for bad results.
Good Luck Dustin. Pay him the sponsor dollars monthly.

I say that if Dustin does NOT give all the money up front, like we are all hoping he won't, then Guy voids the whole deal. Guy will want it all up front or no ride. He won't take a monthly payment from anyone. For reasons do I need ot mention? Cause he will just find someone else who is willing to give it all up front to take more
But, with us talking about this I hope it does get to Guy or his wife. Makes it more known to them that people are not stupid to what goes on.

One is good and one got famous by having his driver (and drivers father) set up the car in the 90's

Char! I love ya girl! Haha I'm with ya all the way. I think it's pre funny how people think they know people and there doings when they really have no clue. The fact that matters is that Guy is giving Dustin, who represents young talents drivers everywhere, a chance. We need to see more of this in racing. The young guys are the next generation of Outlaws and beyond. Dustin is a racecar driver who has proven can learn, adapt and evolve. He somehow always manages to win races and impress people with his personality. People have always cut him down no matter what he has done but he has always risen to prove himself. He is an incredible driver but an even better person, and ya know what, that makes a world of difference to the right people. Anyone who knows Dustin personally cannot dock him because he is such a decent guy. He was just as shocked as the next person to hear about his deal with Guy. He has been given the chance of a lifetime to keep his sponsors and put his seat in a car owned by Guy Forbrook. Dustin is surronded by such good people who are all extremely excited for him. All who know him know it will not take him long to adjust....because that's what racecar drivers do!

Some of you still aren't hearing right. No one has cut Dustin down at all. Not a single post on this thread has said Dustin is un talented or does not deserve anything in racing. Clean off the eyeballs and read it right. I think everyone on this thread has wished Dustin good luck. Then wished him good luck in not getting screwed over.
Re Read it and thnik about it....like really read it again because I don't think some of you are getting what we are saying here.
I just really hope you girls aren't going back to Dustin saying that all the people on this board are not supporting him and making fun of him cause then you are just being a liar to the kid.
I don't even know how to explain it anymore if you girls aren't getting what is being said...My mind is just boogled at the fact you think we are bashing Dustin.

Maybe its just that time of the month, or maybe we should use shopping as an example instead of racing.
What everyone is saying is, yes Nordstroms is a great store with the best styles and sales to die for. You shop there all the time, you are a great customer, and even on their mailing list. We are just hoping the store doesn't close down, move to another location, pull an enron on you, or not let you shop there any more after giving them all your money up front.
