No one is a bigger Fast Freddie Rahmer fan than me. But with the way both McMahan and Leppo wheeled the Clemen's #51 cars this weekend and the way Fred has struggled not only this past weekend, but for the last several months, it does make you wonder? Hopefully a change in teams for next year will revitalize him, although I am not sure the Sell 20S will be the right outfit for him. I hope I am wrong and time will tell.

The 13 hauls the mail. HP is as good as anyone. Only a RY Ford would stay with the 13 down the straightaway.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

minthess: Thank You for defending the running of the 13 car,you are so correct,on any given day it is defintely ,absolutely one of the top three fastest cars in the Nation,I know this will start some controversy, but that HP motor and that car hauls the mail and is very well prepared and only has the absolutely best parts on it . It is definitely one of the top rides in America and even if it doesn't run on a steady basis, it is a rocket, that baby has some kinda power I would love to see it on a mile dirt track the touring group would be scratching their heads trying to equal that car.I think its biggest secret is its HP motor and its operations, they have done their homework and its not like 14 car or 7 car with their midnight visits to C.G's shop.Shhhhhh the neighbors are sleeping. oh yeah those shocks from that secret place in the buckeye help too.

Not getting into the pissing match about Larson, he is a good driver.

As for the 13 being a C-Main car.....2010 I watch Pittman drive that "C-Main" car in the A-Main at the Knoxville Nationals. The car does not run weekly, and the owner has a skinnier budget, BUT it has the best of everything. This is the same 13 that Jesse Hockett drove so derive from that what you want.

Remind me again what car was it that he was in and If his fan base is going to claim his greatness and greatness alone for all his wins then he can shoulder all the failures himself as well.

Why should ANY driver ever "shoulder" mechanical failure? It's never indicative of a driver's talent, or lack thereof. "Sh!t Happens". Just like getting a flat tire when leading the Fri night at the Gold Cup was out of his control. Crashing at Eldora was his fault, and he admitted it.

Well, the "Kyle haters" will appreciate this.

A "rumor" says his family has run out of money and starting next weekend Kyle will have to obtain rides based solely upon his driving ability. I figured something like this would happen sooner or later! Wink Wonder how Kyle will do!! Smile Wink

Run out of money.... Huh that's funny cause ever since Larson has been in sprintcars his family hasn't put a dime of there money up. He has raced solely on other people's money... Family money that's a joke

I've been going to races for over 45 years. Larson is easily in the top 10 of the best I've ever seen, I can't think of too many drivers who have burst upon the scene and won so many big races in so many different cars in such a short amount of time.....All at the ripe old age of 20.... Those who dog him are really showing their ignorance of the sport.

One good year doesn't make a great driver.....those who dog him are only speaking the truth...he went to PA and didn't make the show both nights...not bagging just saying how it is...if he is as good as you make out why didn't he at least make the show...

Funny, where was keeping it real after he dominated the gold cup? Didnt see you 'saying how it is' then. Oh, that's right, you're one of those guys who only like to pile on when he has a bad showing. That's me keepin it real about you. One good year? Dude had more wins than anyone last year. You have heard of Larsen since before last your, so your comment is bull shit, and you know it. Just keepin it real.

Then why not call 21w out when he says insinuates that the Larson's are bankrolling Kyle? Never seen you once set him straight on his comments on this subject. I'd say because it goes against your agenda against Kyle, that's very evident.

kyle didn't make the show the first night.

seems he never got the chance on the second.

i don't think anyone minds an honest accounting when the details of the situation are presented, but to blame a driver for a mechanical problem that sidelines them just doesn't seem very lady like of you.

I am far from a critic of Larson, but how did he "never get a chance on the second" (night)? He raced like everyone else did.

we are all lucky enough to see a talent like his. so lets all stop the childish bickering and enjoy the sport we all love. seriously every thread is either for kyle or against kyle. but why? jealous, "man boy crush" ( that was funny, i dont care who you are) the kid is good and is going a long way. he makes mistakes and crashes, all racers do. hes not going to win every race he enters.

with bad luck which no doubt was big part of the finish, most need te also think that a C-main at any of the top 10 sprint car events is still what most of the drivers and teams might call the best night ever, the Nat Open is a tough race at a tough track, so tough lots of teams will not even try

I like how there is so much on Larson on this board, but nothing about the multiple time Grove champion and 500+ win Fred Rahmer and his performance or lack thereof.

I could very well be wrong, but I think Rahmer is done as far as being one of the top couple drivers in the region in concerned. Maybe it is old age catching up with him or the injuries he has in recent years or just the desire to put more emphasis on his kid's racing, but Rahmer has looked like he is nearing the end of the road all season.

I wasn't really placing total blame on Larson, but mostly just pointing out that every time he wins, there are 50-post threads on here or 100-post threads on here with ridiculousness like he should racing F1. Any thread that evens dares to mention otherwise is met with belligerence or name-calling, just like this one. That being said, the thread is interesting in that Larson doesn't get out of the C-main either night and it is because the team is junk. Never mind the fact that the same team beat the Outlaws in New York earlier this year and has been in the A-main at the Nationals in the past.

I was in the infield next to the fence in 1 & 2 when he qualified on Saturday night and the motor did not sound right to me. So what was meant by "never get a chance on the second night" was that the car had performance issues.

as for rahmer, he has earned his respect and his place in racing. everyone comes to a point where their career is winding down.

as for the team larson drove for being called "junk", i don't believe anyone ever said that.

nothing personal towards you, but you say you don't like the exuberance of some of the larson fans.

well to me it doesn't seem much different than the exuberance of some of the posse fans.

you have posse fans going berzerk when one of their own beats a certain group of racers once a year at their home track.

on the other hand there is a kid from california who over the past two years has racked up close to 50 wins across the country in a variety of circle track cars against some of the top drivers in each division, and is being talked about as one of the future stars of the predominant motorsports series in the nation.

expect more exuberance expressed accordingly.
