Once again the fans here in Pa show just how much they care about the drivers that put their lives at risk for our entertainment. Tonight at Lincoln Speedway the fans rasised over $7300.00 to help Jeff and his family when the drivers went through the stands with helmets. JUST AWESOME!!!!!! His brother Judd was there and Judd was overwhelmed by the support.

I know Knoxville drivers passed their helmets on Saturday night too. I don't know if those monies have been included already but if not, I would be looking for a pretty good sum from the Iowa fans as well.

The All Star drivers went through the stands at Butler Saturday night collecting a little over $800 for Jeff. It's wonderful that everyone is pitching in to help him.

Here is what is Posted at W. Groves Message Board for those of you who don't want to copy and paste the link above.

I just got done talking to Schenley Layton and I have the totals that were raised this weekend from the Shepard shirt sales and donations for Jeff Shepard and his family.

Shirt and Sweatshirt sales from Williams Grove, Lincoln and Selinsgrove totalled: $965

Donations dropped in the bucket: $313, combined with $122 collected by Cody Darrah's family at Selinsgrove for a total of $435 received in donations.

:thankyou:

Adding this $1400 to the $7300 collected at Lincoln and the $1560 collected by the NSCBBA and Beer Hill Gang comes to a total of $10,260 raised in Central PA this week alone!!!

Without missing anyone we would just like to say thanks to EVERYONE that contributed, whether it be through collecting donations, buying a shirt or sweatshirt, and to those who donated. Everyone in the racing community/family should be very proud of this accomplishment and outpouring of help and support at a time when it is greatly needed!!!!!!

It truly makes you proud to be a PA Posse Fan and Proud of the Racing fans through out the country !!! :cheers2:  :thumbleft: :jiggy: :cheerleader: :20wave: :perfect:

Fred Rahmer did a very unshelfish Victory Lane Interview after winning the first of 3 20 lap features during the Jack Gunn Memorial Triple 20's AT the Famed Williams Grove Speedway firday night. He didn't want to talk about his win, but rather say some very kind words about Jeff Shepard. We all know here in Pennsylvania that these two have had quite a rivialry, and at times a heated rivialry. Truley a class act by one of Pennsylvania's fineset. Please take the time to listen. It is touching and emotional.

Jeff, Just a quick note to let you know Knoxville fans are still thinking of you and your entire family. I wish you continued success in your recovery and God willing, seeing you behind the wheel in the upcoming season. I have seen you at K-ville and numerous times on tv and you are always a true gentleman, no matter how your night went. Best wishes to you, your family, and your crew.

So sorry that Jeff has put an end to his driving career. More importantly is his health and well being. We will miss you in competition, but look forward to seeing you at the track in good health and spirits. Godspeed, and thanks for everything you have done for open wheel racing. Best of luck in all your future endeavors.
