In real life I wouldn't rub it in, you know this is the only place that happens. Have a good time, hopefully this will open your eyes to ALL the talent in the country, not just the porch dwellers. I think you will be pleasantly surprised, hopefully your hero(the tire guy) learns out there, I know you will. Enjoy, Take It Easy.....
PS My front porch to the Dingus is only 721 miles, an easy drive these days....

Aside from the Posse, I'll be cheering for that #24 from CA tonight.
If it's such an easy drive, if you leave now......

Johnson wasn't mentioned because this is a "410" thread for the REAL Nationals. If he could run with the 410's he'd do it on a regular basis.
Lasoski it the best bet for a NON WoO driver to win it this year.
|
Smitty - you are an idiot if you don't think Wayne can run with the 410's. What more does he need to do to prove he can run with them?
6 A-main Nationals in a row - fluke?? Hardly!
Johnson, Wayne, Mustang, OK (5) – 2003, 12x, 20 (19) – 2004, 14AJ, 13 (11) ..Norman, OK – 2005, 14AJ, 21 (20) ..Oklahoma City, OK – 2006, 14AJ, 8 (6) ..Knoxville, IA – 2007, 14AJ, 11 (9)
6 career wins at Knoxville in a 410.
All Star win at Volusia this year
When he did run Knoxville full time he was 2nd in points to McCarl and then Madsen - the closest points contests in the last few years...
He doesn't run the 410 stuff all the time because of the cost. He can't afford to run the WoO deal and he needs to race more than once a week at Knoxville to feed his family. That is why he is running the ASCS tour along with some 410 racing - to feed his family!
Best chance for non-WoO will certainly be Lasoski, but I can promise you Wayne will be up on the wheel - he ALWAYS is!!

Well, it's nice to dream, or at least hope for the best...
Wayne is currently 8th in points with 458 points; that means that he'll probably start in row 8 of Saturday's main. He may move up in points, but I'm guessing that there'll be a few more high point earners tonight, which will probably move him back a row or two.
Will he be up on the wheel? Yes, but I guess that the same can be said for every Nationals participant.
Holding off the Dude and the King last night was cool, but no one has ever won the Nationals from row 8......but it was a good run in a very good week, up until now.....
Chuck.....

I am going with the west coast:
1. Tyler Walker
2.Tim Kaeding
3. Roger Crockett.
Who is your top three?
|
1-Sammy
2-Lasoski
3-W. Johnson
The older I get, the faster I used to be.

Not really. He had a great run last night for sure, but he still sits 8th in points after night one, no possibility really of making the scramble and likely he'll roll off in the A from between 15-17th. Highly unlikely he'll be challenging for the win at any point on Saturday.
Anybody but Schatz though, is fine with me.

The topic was which non-Outlaw has the best chance. How far off the mark do you think I am?
