Avoiding the question with a question. Your the second one to do that. Reminds me of a politician.

I’m not arguing about who they put in the 17 or who I thinks deserves it more than Sheldon. To be completley honest, I have no one driver that I think deserves it more than the next. I could care less, it’s no sweat off my sack that Sheldon got this ride and I said I hope the kid does well. I’m just simply saying that if it weren’t for Papa Haud he doesn’t land the ride.

If it weren't for Papa Schatz Donnie would not have had a ride, if it weren't for Papa Kinser Kraig would not have a ride, if it weren't for Papa Bobby shark racing would not have a ride, same goes for papa abreu, papa rhamer, papa mccarl, papa swindell, papa chesson. The list pretty much is never ending.

Doesn't matter if your Papa was rich or a famous racer 9 out of every 10 guys are taking this to the bank to create their career in sprint car racing.  Does Jac's influence have an effect on Sheldon getting a ride? Sure it does! I am agreeing with you!  However, the fact still remains that little Haud with his own operation was more consistent than the 17 operation on the outlaw tour in both of their first years.

Actually I think that might be backwards. I think if it was not for Sheldon then Papa Haud does not get the ride last year. The writing has been on the wall well before this was announced that Sheldon would be in this ride in MY opinion. Who know's why they did not offer the ride to Sheldon to start with but I am sure it had to do with Sheldon's car being a family car and all the contraints that go with WoO in signing up for memberships. At the point the 17 let Joey Saldana go they probably had their pick for anyone and they chose Jac? Nothing against Jac, he can still wheel a car but Parker Price Miller was still available for one and other drivers. I think this was a process with a plan in mind from day 1, they saw the kids talent, were impressed how he raced that season already plus his resume with the All Stars the previous two years. Sorry to say but your opinion is your opinion but the kid has more than just his dad's name, he has talent.

You’re not being baited; the only thing that makes my opinion fact, in my opinion is, I'm a smartass. Your opinion is yours as much as the next guy, I respect your opinion and I could care less if it coincides with mine. I don't dislike him and I hope he does well too. But my opinion is he doesn't take the 17 to a championship.

Serious question. If Sheldon was named, let’s say, Ben Dover and Ben had the same exact career stats as Sheldon. Would ole Ben land the 17 ride ?? I say not.

You know, during the off season I get to sit and really think about racing. Reading some of the negative comments about Sheldon's new ride (congrats BTW) I realize there are a lot, and I mean A LOT of stupid, hateful people on here. Who gives a bakers F*&K what his last name is. The kid just ran his first full time season in the outlaws, and was 7th in points. Some of you keyboard cowboys on here amaze me. Do the endless negative posts about drivers you obviously don't like make you feel better? Jesus this is getting old anymore. "Blah blah blah this guy deserves that ride, PA is best and only place for sprint car racing on the earth, 410 sprint car racing is too expensive and will be finised in a few years". ( I love that last one, as i'm sure the same morons making that same statement now were making it 20 years ago). Can't you all just be happy that a young kid is going to race sprint cars full time, for a living, and not taking his talents to NASCAR? I'm sorry your favorite driver from Alaska who just won rookie of the year in the entry remote control sprint car class didn't secure the 17 seat, you don't have to be a dick about it.

End rant.

Shut up Beero, this is a forum for discussion, not a safe space. If you get butt hurt because you don't like what you read here, then don't read it anymore. Nobody said anything that horrible about Sheldon, it's there opinion that he shouldn't have gotten the ride, but he did. They also said he got the ride because of his name, which probably helped. But who cares? Certainly not Sheldon, but I bet he will feel so much better now that you defended his honor, sorry though, I think he already has a girlfriend.

I could care less about your retreat of deep thinking in the off season. You really should use that time in a more constructive way. Like maybe, find a place of your own and move out of your parent’s basement or maybe even get a girlfriend that doesn’t require blowing up.

It's obvious you’re on the Haud shaft and savor the flavor of it. What gets old is people like you that blow folks comments out of proportion, or simply can’t except the fact that people have thoughts and ideas that don’t coincide with yours. If you would rather us keyboard cowboys make our negative comments about your favorite flavors someway other than using our computers, how about you post up your phone number so we can call you to make them in person. I'm not going back to read all the posts on this subject, but I'm pretty sure not one person said any one specific driver was more deserving of this ride than Sheldon. If these horrible negative comments are hurting your feelings so bad, then you might want to refrain from frequenting the HHF. It's obviously getting you so worked up that it may melt your precious snowflake heart.

Happy for Sheldon and I think they will do well. Not having to deal with the financial burden will help.Hope He keeps his crew as they were doing well.

sorry I touched a nerve. Couple of facts for the unintelligent.

I'm not a snowflake, in fact I voted for trump, But I know that shouldn't be a point of contention. I also do not live in my moms basement, infact I live with my wife and two daughters. My point wasn't pointed at you directly per se, but a open point to all the puffed out "fans" like yourself who will proudly proclaim your opinions loudly about who should be driving which race car. Also, I know if I don't like an opinion, I don't have to read it. Sadly I think you fail to understand that this is a two way street. To be honest, I'm from Ohio so yeah I'm a Haud fan, both Jac and Sheldon. What I take exception to is the fact you are saying the kid only got the ride because of his last name, which is a pretty ignorant thing to say. The kid has a lot of talent, give him a break. Wish him luck. You don't always have to be that drunken moron screaming his opinions to people that would rather you suck start a shotgun. Also, if you think I'm going to post my phone number on here you are as stupid as you sound. However, feel free to email me at [email protected] and I would be happy to communicate with you that way.

Love,

Joel.

Is Ben Dover related to Jack Dover? :)

And Ben Dover and Mart Esse have something other than just family in common. Both are in the US Congress, one from each party.

Starts with "Shut up..." and then follows it up with "...forum for discussion".  Way to prove Beero's point. Only to be followed up with some ad hominem attacks in the next post.

Wow, what a dumb argument. Can't you just be happy that the owners of this car are still committed to spending the huge amount of money it takes to run the full woo schedule and be happy for Sheldon getting this opportunity?

Exactly!   And so it goes with these threads.   Good news comes out about the 17 ride and Sheldon, but by the time page 3 gets here it's a name calling and finger pointing or else you're not even talking about the original topic.

Schatz wrecked everything he ever looked at his first couple years there too. Look where he is today! Give the kid time, he has the talent, I agree he has some growing up and calming down to do, but give it time. It doesn't matter what your last name is, and he sure as hell isn't paying to be in that car, so they made the choice, out of every available driver, to put him in the seat. All anyone needs is an opportunity, and its good to see a young one getting that opportunity!

I think Jac got the ride because of  Dennis Roth being on the car and i believe they were using Rorhs motors and he is a Jac fan ,,,,,
