As far as Logan , guess you did not see him when he was hooked up and as far Port Royal they are aware of problems regarding long lines at restrooms . More will be done during off season again by these outstanding men who are on the board , don't see other tracks accept Susquehanna making major updates to a racing venue .

That's because the "other tracks" don't need to. The "other tracks" you speak of were well maintained over the years and given proper updates and amenities as needed. Port and Susky however, did not recieve the same attention. They were left in a state of constant decay to the point where they became shit holes. All they're doing now is fixing those things and bringing them up to par with the "other tracks". They deserve to be commended for their efforts but don't act like the "other tracks" are in the same state now that Port and Susky were in just a few short years ago and are in need of massive overhauls because they aren't.

Sorry, but some of the other tracks do need to be updated or improved . Yes , Port Royal and Susquehanna were in bad shape before , NOW THEY ARE FAR ABOVE THE OTHER TRACKS with recent improvements in there facilities . Now fan amendities , convenience , cleanliness ,improved concessions, now allow you to take your wife or girlfriend  to enjoy an outing together . More improvements will occur at both the mentioned venues making them standout .

Word to the wise- don't take your wife and girlfriend both to the track, even if fan  amenities , convenience , cleanliness, and  concessions have been improved.

For what it's worth, the new bathrooms at Badlands Speedway are nice enough you could eat off the floor, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Susky's facility has come a long way...primarily because it was diulapidated by any standards applicable to a modern venue - IMO susky's racing has always trumped what the facility has to offer...nowhere near enough pissers when the grandstands are even half full there.

Does every track in the country have a line at the pisser when the grandstands are full...PROBABLY

Have I walked to the car to piss on the ground at one time or another at nearly every track I have attended - ABSOLUTELY

Port Royal is clearly the front runner on the improvement on Posse Soil...did they draw a much larger crowd in the new 700 ft. froint stretch grand stands with the WoO this year? ABSOLUTELY

Are there even more exciting improvements coming to Port Royal for next year - CERTAINLY. - I am not at liberty to repeat what I was told...stay tuned.

Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

I agree 100% with your statement. Hopefully the next track to be upgraded is Selinsgrove. The facilities themselve are fine as far as seating, consessions and restrooms. I understand new clay is being put down as we speak. I just hope they move the pits so the fans can see the track. It is still one of my favorite tracks in terms of pure speed when prepared right.

Name the things that need to be updated Bob. Make a list with the items that need to be improved at the other tracks. Your only issue is that the "other tracks" didn't allow you to set up your table and conduct your imaginary fun club business for free and they wanted you to pay a vendor fee like every other outside entity that does business on Speedway property. By the way, my wife's favorite track is Lincoln and she's pretty picky when it comes to bathrooms. She doesn't like their restrooms but like every other person on earth (besides yourself apparently) she spends at most a minute or 2 in there each night. So you can take your wives and girlfriends theory and shove that one right back up your ass where it came from.

Fixxer, I have attended many races over the years at Williams Grove, Lincoln, Port Royal, Susquehanna and Selinsgrove. There is nothing wrong with the facilities at any of these tracks. As a matter of fact I had the opportunity to take first time fans to both Williams Grove and Lincoln this year and was proud to do so. There is no doubt the upgrades at both Port & Susky are appreciated by the fans but the others are in good shape. We are fortunate to have so many top notch sprint car tracks in Central Pa. You just can not beat the atmosphere at Williams Grove when the Outlaws come to Mechanicburg.

Couldn't agree more on all of the above. Lincoln and Williams Grove have been great for a long time. Port and Susky have always been awesome as well but lacked the attention they deserve and they're now getting it from some good people who now run both tracks. Selinsgrove should be really good with the new clay. Hopefully they figure out a way to give the fans better sight lines because the infield obstructions really take away from the experience. Like you, I still go there and I still enjoy watching them haul ass into turn 1 but it would be cool to have a better view of the rest of the track. From what I understand, there's been some talk about shortening it. Don't know how I feel about that one. From a business perspective, I think they could only stand to benefit from it and if I were them, I would probably do it. Not only would it be easier on motors, but it would also provide the necessary space to get the pits out of the infield, or at least some of the trailers to improve the sightlines. On the other hand as a fan, watching the insane speeds is something I'll miss if they ever shorten it. Either way, the tracks we have here are awesome and I thank God every day that I was born in Central Pa. We aren't perfect, but we have it pretty damn good.

Apparently none of you has ever parked on the backstretch at Williams Grove. I've sat in that lot for twice as long as I ever have at Port while parking inside the fairgrounds. Of course as a Port regular and native I know where to park for big races at Port and it's not inside the grounds, lmao!!!!

Look at google maps once...it will show u 3 or 4 ways outa Port. Just don't park inside the gates....

Let's use some common sense though...when thousands of people all leave the same event at once there will be congestion...somewhere...

Same here..... I was on Route 322 25 minutes after the checked flag and had a 2 hour ride home. I have had a harder time getting out of other tracks over the years. At least they had someone directing traffic at the main intersections. I have seen one lane tracks with no help at all. You ever try to leave a game at an NFL stadium???....just sayin'

At the Grove , Lincoln and other tracks many things need to be updated or improved , yes I will  mention a few but I also have no hard feelings toward any track . Well to answer your first comment , seating, restrooms , paint would help , guardrail , wiring , and more at both tracks should  be done .But everyone has there favorite tracks and the actual venue condition does not matter to most fans , only to see good racing .

I honestly don't care what the restrooms look or even smell like. I don't care if they've painted anything lately. I've sat on concrete at the track, Bulls Gap, and didn't care even given the fact that it was uncomfortable. Wiring? Are you shitting me?

I don't know if Robert Altman is shitting you or not.

A hard core race fan will stand in the weeds to watch races and pee in the parking lot.  Trouble is, there aren't enough hard core racer fans to support the races without the other fans.  If the other fans give up going because the place is a dump, who makes up the difference in incoming funds to keep the place afloat?  I think we all can think of tracks we went to that are gone now. The ones I can think of weren't taking care of their fans- all of them, not just the hard core race fans. Isn't Bull's Gap closed now?

You didn't name one specific thing. The wiring for instance. What's wrong with it? What aspect of the wiring doesn't meet your all knowing approval? All you did was make a list of shit without even saying what's so bad about them. Just more bullshit from you. Not only that, you are a liar because we all know your crusade against Lincoln and Williams Grove. At least be man enough to admit it.

I can't even tell you what year I went to Bulls Gap or if it's open. It's been a while since I was there. I'm sitting in a wooden grandstand tonight.

The worst restrooms I've seen is at Atlanta Motor Speedway, not a dirt track. Likewise the nicest restrooms I've seen were at Oshweken Speedway, a dirt track.

Whats wrong with the grandstands and where? What's wrong with the guardrail and where? What's wrong with the wiring and where?

He never goes into detail about any of his claims or ideas. Not one time. He still hasn't explained how he'd implement and police his home built engine incentive idea that he proposed on here some time ago despite being called on it no less than 100 times. Now he'll probably reply refuting the claims made against him because we don't know him and all he wants is things to be better for all fans and he'll say he'll go into more detail in the future but he still won't. He'll just repeat himself. That's all he ever does. Nothing he ever says has a damn bit of substance and he can never back up any of the shit that he says.

I'm certainly not standing up for Robert Altman. He is what he is- someone who jyust likes to play games on the internet.  You're move Bob.

I'm saying that tracks need to keep the place up or the fans leave.  I can remember watching a race while holding my nose because of the smell of the bathrooms that were at the other end of the stands! I've been to race tracks where the stands weren't safe and tracks where the catchfence wasn't safe.  Those tracks are gone now. I think there's a correlation.

I took no disrespect from you and meant zero your way. I sat at Gas City one night with dirt dumping on me and didn't complain but I understand if some do.

I've seen plenty of his garbage and typically don't fuel the fire. I guess I felt it was my turn to question his "claims".

Good luck with that my friend lol. He's a known quantity here in Central Pa. He's like our crazy uncle only he's the type of crazy uncle who is just a pain in everyone's ass.
