I'm sure Shane has a phone number too.  You could also find him at every outlaw race.

Lol my gosh. Guess i shouldn't be surprised Shane has such an online following.

What happened to Tyler Walker at Chico? I read that he was in the lead and then nothing.

ROD

Why does anyone care or talk about what TW does anymore? He's demonstrated over and over again who and what he is. who cares....?

I believe people (myself included) still see his talent behind the wheel of a sprint car and enjoy watching him race. That is what this forum is about right? Sprint Car Racing? I didn't realize it was a character evaluation and only those who pass get talked or cared about.

I guess only those with common sense would understand.

You're correct.  We should make sprint car racing the only profession in this country where character is not questioned or brought into the public light.

maybe the ankle bracelet transmitter was on a competing frequency with the scoring tower radio system?

I could care less if you question his character, hell i've done it many times.

What I don't understand is the people that act like you're an idiot if you bring up his name.

Pretty interesting discussion on Tyler's FB page. Looks like there were issue's with his radio for the main portion of the night that the WOO would not address. Shane Stewart also chimes in saying "nobody else had a problem" and "Tyler needs help". Shane really has nothing better to do than get on FB and state his opinions?

I'm just guessing but I'm going to say Tyler was pretty pissed by not having a working radio as well as falling back after starting on the pole. He probably wasn't in the "cooperative" mood and was being an ass. Thats just my opinion. That being said, I still love watching Tyler race and have accepted stuff like this will happen from time to time.

Tyler made some big mistakes and from what I have read he served his sentence. We all make mistakes some big some small and the only person that we need to worry about being judged by is God.

In the words of the late, great Merle Haggard:

I'd like to hold my head up and be proud of who I am, but they won't let my secret go untold. I paid the debt I owed them, but they're still not satisfied, now I'm a branded man out in the cold,
When they let me out of prison, I held my head up high, determined I would rise above the shame. But no matter where I travel, the black mark follows me, I'm branded with a number on my name. If I live to be a hundred, guess I'll never clear my name, 'cause everybody knows I've been in jail.
No matter where I'm living, I've got to tell them where I've been, or they'll send me back to prison if I fail.
Now I'm a branded man out in the cold.

Agree with Vande on this.  I don't need facts at this point.  I have seen enough of his facts to know that speculation is probably good enough at this point.  He is a spoiled brat and without seeing one bit of evidence, I will go with what Shane Stewart said.  Even so, having a radio should have nothing to do with how his night went--NOTHING!  Whining about it or even mentioning it to anyone but the WOO officials after the races is proof of being a little brat.  Like Vande said, they attempt to put drivers in the correct spot manually.  Is it possible he was given the shaft?  Sure.  But I'm not giving the little you know what the benefit of the doubt.

As far as what one earlier poster said about Shane Stewart having nothing better to do than post on social media?  A full-time racer shouldn't have time to post on social media?  I post on social media and have a full time job and two part time gigs going.  Why would Shane Stewart not have time for this?  I am lost.  Not that Shane Stewart is the nicest guy I have ever met but I am thinking most of you would be a lot happier if your daughter brought home Shane Stewart than Tyler Walker.  I think I will side with Shane on this one with one exception--Tyler doesn't need help anymore--he just needs to go somewhere with no people or racing.  He is beyond help by now.  Problem solved.

Agree as well. At this point Tyler will probably never get the benefit of the doubt on anything anymore. I'll trust almost anyones word over his at this point. I do not feel sorry for his current position in life or if any sanctioning body penalizes him. Tyler can look in the mirror and blame why people judge him the way they do. And before people get on here and ask me what mistakes I have made, I can honestly say none to the extent he has made and if I am judged on the mistakes i have made so be it. I made my bed and I will lay in it. Yes we all make mistakes, its just not all of us make the same one again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and...oh heck you know what I mean.

I get that he can wheel a race car and people will never be able to see past that but he has and always will need an attitude adjustment. At this point, he ought to be thankful that any sanctioning body will let him race. Take a look at Shane Hmiel, he is someone that I guess you could say was exactly like Tyler. Only difference, Shane took responsibility, got clean, stayed clean but unfortunitly had a horrible accident happen to him and yet again he made the best out of a horrible situation and continues to give back. I have a whole lot of respect for someone like that and can look past those mistakes (multiple drug testing failures, arguements with other drivers, banishment from Nascar) and not hold them against him. Not because he had a terrible accident but because he already took ownership of his actions and wanted to make it right.

A good number of you need to look in the mirror....not for the mistakes you've made, but for the scars you carry because of Tyler Walker....you won't find any. WTF does it matter to any of us what TW does or doesn't create as far as problems and situations for himself? NONE! I choose to just look away. There are things I can change and that's what I focus on. As for Shane Stewart voicing his opinion for the world to see...no big deal. You know what thay say about the opinions one has for another....they're like a--holes....evrybody has one.

I just knew it was an anomoly that this had dropped to the second page.

While not condoning his actions, I'm struggling  with this intersection of morality and sprint car racing.

I go to the speedway for entertainment and I'm likely to be entertained when he's in the field.

Anyone know if Tyler is racing this weekend at Calistoga? Should be a good show with Larson and Rico joining!

No sorry to disappoint you. Actually happily married for years with a kid. You seem to have some love for Tyler though. I'm sure if you call the California Department of Corrections they should have his number still on file for you.

I should've known that post would of upset you. First a stranger you dont even know loses your trust and you will no longer give him the benifit of the doubt, then I go and say something like that. I'll try to watch what I say since you are obviously sensitive to people you don't even know.

Actually I am not sensitive at all and trust me someone behind keyboard does not upset me. Found your post to befunny as a matter of fact and trust me I have had much worst said me. I work in a place where I have to have thick skin and everyone dishs out as much as they take in. I learned a long time ago not to get offended over anything. You're the one who did the personal attack just because I gave my opinion on a race car driver and saying something about a bitter ex-girlfriend which was pretty clever on your part. I did not insult you in my inital post, I just gave my point of view and opinion. I understand that there are a good group of people that like this guy and I respect their opinion as well however that does not mean that everyone has to feel the same way. I just gave back to you what you did to me. I laughed at your joke...sound like you are the sensitive one.

No life long Tyler Walker fan can be sensitive. He weeded them out long ago. ;)
