Um, Blazer, while I am refusing to take any side in this pissing contest, I will point out that the NSL race at Angell Park last August was on a Sunday night. Back to the ranting now.................................

You are correct....as well as few other Sundays. I was wrong.

It is still my full belief that the new owner at this track's full intention is to tank it so he can scrap it and have a fiscal reason.

There is literally zero other reason to justify the repeated awful strategic moves that they have made.

You're joking right? You really think they bought the track, put new lights, new videoboards, new concession stands, etc just to close the place? For what? The track is right by the river, it's not good for any sort of commercial or residential development because it floods. You could farm it probably. I suppose you think he'll turn it into a concert venue? He wouldn't improve the track if that was his plan, plus he has a concert venue at his pawn shop.

My guess is he has made enough money and now wants to have fun. I bet if he broke even on the track he would be happy.

Seriously? You're going as far as a Sammy slam to justify Chuck Brennan's ridicule of a decision made by the NSL? Think about it. First off, do you suppose when the conversation began that Brennan was forthright enough to inform Todd that he was considering running his 410's on Sarurday night? Not! If he had, Tod would have told him right up front that Saturday night was out for the NSL. He committed Saturday nights to Knoxville well over a year and a half ago when the idea of the NSL was in the making. The same as his commitment at that time was to not run anywhere but Huset's on a Sunday night. Do you not pay attention at all? Tod Quiring's integrity has shown through all along. And two.....are you aware that Tod has also sponsored McCarl and Dollansky in the past? And as previousley mentioned, Dale Blaney beginning last year and now the addition of Gravel this coming year I'd say his "endorsements" have done quite a bit for sprint car racing for many years.

Tod and the NSL attended the press conference and stayed for the finale that night. I don't see him wasting a full Sunday if he didn't already know the change to Saturday's was happening

That press conference was in early June 2015. At that press conference Brennan announced the expantion of 410 racing to Saturday night. He also stated "that up to that point he had told no one". So, no, I don't believe Tod knew until then.  The coverage of the press conefrence was in the Argus Leader a few days after. Going back to the announcement in April 2015 that Brennan had purchased Huset's, Brennan is quoted in the Argus Leader as saying "We run Sundays. Every Friday and Saturday night all summer is open"  "So we're going to utilize it (the facility) for outdoor concerts and really try to bring the quality up. He also mentioned "Monster truck things and super motocross things......that we don't take advantage of in Sioux Falls". I would think that Tod thought that the NSL would have Sunday dates, up until the press conference took place. As for whether or not Tod felt it was a wasted day, I guess you would have to ask him. BTW.....the press conference wasn't on a Sunday, it was on a Thursday...I believe June 11th. Regardless, I have not seen or heard a derogatory or controversial remark from Tod Quiring in regards to Brennan or Huset's.

Chuck: But you said I had 4 dates and those are the dates I'm going to run NSL Shows.

Tod: No, you are not. I will not schedule against Knoxville.

Chuck: But those are the dates I have scheduled for NSL Shows.

Tod: I will not schedule against Knoxville.

Chuck: But my track is going to be bigger and better than anything Knoxville has ever done! What do you mean you won't let me have those dates.

Tod: Pick different dates.

Chuck: No!

Tod: Good Bye

Chuck: But my track is going the be the best thing in the world. You are an idiot if you can't see... (click)

You must of also forgot  the rain out earlier when the NSL/Tod threw  a hissy fit and fired off emails and tweets telling his NSL teams that had a 360 will not race Husets the following day, accusing them more or less of cancelling so they could get more cars for the 360 show.     Try and pay attention ,.....

The last I looked, June is before September on the calender. What does the Sept press conference have to do with the recent release by Badlands dissing the NSL for not scheduling Huset's? Plus....as for the rain out....c'mon man! That race should have been cancelled by noon or !:00 that day and you know it. They (Huset's) kept saying all day no matter what that they would get the race in. So teams headed that way. Finally around about 5:00 they cancelled....and invited the NSL teams that just "happened to still show" up in Sioux Falls that they were welcome to participate in Monday's races. You have the gall to defend the actions of the previous owners?

Better get back to editing and deleting your stuff Blazer....

THAT press conference was Sepetember 13, 2015.

You called out Big J saying, BTW that press conference wasn't on a Sunday. And that is what "from a sponsor" was referring to.

You have interest in the NSL, we understand that.

We understand You don't like Badlands as well....  Stay in Okoboji or go to an NSL race instead.

Once again you're lost! I'm well aware of the September press conference and it had nothing to do with with the original announcement of Huset's going to Saturday nights rather than Sunday with the 410's.

Chad, your saying I'm lost,   Read this and reread your last couple sentences again.....

You are with Okoboji Motor Company that sponsors the NSL and are not happy with Badlands, we get it.

Oh hey,  almost forgot....How did that solid rumor from your solid source about Brennen renting Tmac a house up here pan out....

First off I'm not Chad. My post pointed out that the whole world knew about Badlands going to Saturday night 410 racing on the 11th of June, after that press conference in which Brennan disclosed that fact. Whether or not Tod and the NSL reps were at the September press conference for the Gold Cup announcement, I don't know.  I guess I don't know why they would have been. The point is Tod did indeed know about the racing night switch well before September. Get it?

As for the post in which I brought up the rumor that Brennan had bought (not rented) a house....if you read it again you'll see that I stated it was for McCarl's convenience, not for him to move into. I also stated in that post that "whether or not Brennan had gone that far, who really knows". I did not state it as fact. Yes, I heard it from a good source, not just some flake. We initially thought there would be nothing to it, and it was far fetched, but as we considered the option, it didn't seem like such a dumb idea. Think about it......what is McCarl and family and crew going to do if they do go from Jackson (those nights he may race there) directly to Sioux Falls. I don't know how many would travel with McCarl, but a motorhome for all, or motel rooms for all seems to be the options, unless the hauler is so equipped. If they run Saturday 410's and Sunday 360's at Badlands, the expense of motels gets pretty spendy for the team unless Brennan or someone else is picking up the tab. Even more costly if they do run Jackson. And for what 15,16 weekends or more? Now look at it from the business standpoint for Brennan. Purchasing a house which appreciates in value, and is also a tax break when used for business purposes is a win-win situation for Brennan, and would be rather convenient for McCarl. If there is nothing to it, so be it. Ridicule all you want. We all know McCarl stated he could be bought. Was he? None of us know what that price tag was if he was given special financial treatment. It was surely more than the $400.00 tow money if he was.

msweeter, no bone to pick with you or blazer 00 on the dates things were said. If you think you know the guys first name whatever, but I would be very careful throwing business names in here. You may just find yourself answering to a lawsuit especially when that business is willing to sponser sprint car racing, and then they see their name dragged in on all this B.S.  Think about it before you do it again.  Glen Murra

Glen, that's a bit of stretch.. Msweeter at no point expressed any slander towards Okoboji Motor Company so I guess I'm confused as to way He or she would be facing a lawsuit?  I don't agree with Msweeter's view ( Blazer, not a bad option to stay in Okoboji, there are worse places to be) posting that he could face a lawsuit is one of the dumbest posts I've seen on this board, and that says a lot.  Back to the topic, who really cares what TMAC does?  Does Knoxville really suffer because of it?  No.  As far as the rumors, that's all they are, rumors as stupid as they may be.

And there you have the largest problem with message boards, forums, social media, etc. No one is ever held responsible for what they post. I've said forever that people should be required to post ONLY under their real names, making it clear who they are affiliated with (if they are indeed with an organization relative to what they are posting about). If that were the case, hopefully people would be more careful as to what they post, since they could be held accountable.

I would think it is VERY obvious who I am, and with whom I am affiliated!! If not, my honest opinion is you should stay off the internet completely!!! ;)

I don't know who most of the posters on here are, and truly don't care in most cases; although I have made some great friendships thanks to Hoseheads and other message boards/forums.

I have no dog in this fight, as Eagle Raceway isn't having the NSL this year as far as I know. I do think that we should reserve our conclusions until at least a year or 2 have been run at Badlands however, so that we can speak knowledgeably about what has transpired.

I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
