My money is that they have new rubber on, too much money in those cars not to put on tires. Might not run a new tire in 360 hot laps but it's on there for group timing.

Could be, maybe it frees his car up to rotate better in the corners but I'd still say new ones are going on. I could see them putting on tires that have a hot lap session or a qualifying session on them.
