Darrah may be the long awaited hope for an Allstar team to win an Allstar race on Posse Soil...based out of Red Lion Ohio?...the irony of reality.

Good luck Crazy Joe and Cody.

Is Port Royal located in Ohio? I'm pretty sure I remember Dale Blaney kicking everyone's ass at the night before the 50 in 2012 and although it wasn't an All Star sanctioned event, he absolutely destroyed the field last season at a regular show the week before the Bob Weikert memorial last season. I believe it was also 2012 when Cole Duncan passed Rahmer and went on to win at Path Valley and then followed it up by towing to Lincoln in early 2013 and withstanding everything The Edge could throw at him to take the win. I also recall Kenny Jacobs winning an All-Star race at Lincoln in the early 2000's.

And the announcers still say, the longest running record of no wins at their sanctioned races in PA...

Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

I don't think it was at the time.

It's a technicality, but its true.  It's not that an All-Star regular hasn't won a race in Posse territory, its that they haven't won a Sanctioned race in Posse territory in a long time.

It was definitely sanctioned at the time. I found the press release but I can't get the link to post but Google it. I was there that night and there's no doubt, the Night Before the 50 was a full points, sanctioned All-Star race in 2012 and has been for a few years now. Like you said, its just a technicality and a really stupid one at that. I'm born, raised and currently reside in the state of Pennsylvania and I am very proud of the talent we have here but degrading talent from other areas just because they aren't “Posse" is stupid and all it does is give the 99% of the rest of the fans from Pennsylvania who like myself, absolutely hate the Posse vs. The world bullshit a bad reputation. There's a lot of very talented drivers out there across this great country of ours and its idiotic to say the least that some people think central Pa is the only place where sprint car drivers have any talent.

I stand corrected.

Like I said, even if it wasn't sanctioned, it was only a technicality, but it was, so that makes it moot.  I love PA racing and still think it is some of the best racing in the country (Lincoln is still my favorite place to be on any Saturday night), but I would never denigrate another region.  Ohio is great and with Stewart giving the All-Stars needed stability, will be even better.  California is stout.  Also, if you are a true Sprint Car fan and can tell me that you think  Williams Grove will still have a higher quality field than Knoxville most weeks, you are probably in denial.

The money is drying up in PA.

I live here and I can admit it.

Knoxville pulls from a much larger region, Dobmeier travels 10 hrs to get there weekly, the equivalent of coming to Williams Grove from Western Indiana. Plus Knoxville has the pull of the Nationals.

Whether it's 1 for 50 or 0 for 50, it's still an unbelievable streak. Posse have dominated some good drivers over the years.

Why does seemingly every thread denigrate into "Posse this, posse that"? Give the rest of us a break.
