VK is exactly correct.
Cubic you have no idea. Which car do you own or work on.

If you haven't already, you should exchange phone numbers with winning drive that way you guys can sit on the phone bitching for hours like 2 menopausal women about all the things you guys hate about 410 sprint cars, the WoO and life in general. Or better yet, the two of you can take all of your “ideas" and “knowledge" and start a series. Can you imagine how perfect it would be? You could have all of your cost saving measures implemented and save the teams all that money and winning drive could run the PR side of things and the concessions and implement all of his ideas to make things better for us fans. Just imagine how much of a success that would be!!!! Car counts in the 70's, crowds of 20,000 plus pouring into the grandstands each week, winners coming from 24th starting position on a nightly basis....wow. Two brilliant minds like yours and his could change everything.

I Tried out the new H-R15 at Bubba Raceway in hot laps the first night as did many others after hot laps the tires looked like we just ran a 40 lap feature hopefully these tires will work better on the dirt tracks of the north because they didn't fair to well on the sandy gumbo dirt of Florida but honestly I doubt it. I do think it will be a good qualifying tire but that's about all it will be good for it will not last all night ( I sure do miss the old days when we was allowed to run an American Racer 33 or 38 and run at least 2 nights and most of the time 3 nights on a single tire. I personally was in victory lane numerous times with these tires bolted on .That's how you save money on tire bills). And the comments about grooving. When you have a dusty track you groove with a #1or #2 blade this creates a channel for the dusty gritty stuff on the surface a way out from under the tire. And if you don't agree with my comments that's ok that's your choice I have many years of experience to back it up and if you want go to the Hoosier web site they have a page on grooving and sipping.

Thanks for the input. Sound softer than imagined. Hopefully the local tracks quash it.
The Outlaw race teams have been asking for a softer tire for a couple of years and the local tracks kept stopping it from happening up until this year.
American Racer would have been nice. They didn't have enough money to pull it off last time.

Hoosier can easily build something that fits the bill if mandated to however.
I've been grooving and siping tires my whole life also. I know how they help the tire grab. That is why series are starting to ban it. It goes against the whole reason for a tire rule in the first place. To try to unhook the cars and so the tires live longer to save money. Like you mentioned you used to get a couple of nights out of a tire. Teams $30,000 tires bills could be cut in half. Slicing up a brand new tire whether people have always done it or not is defeating the whole purpose. The only reason it is done is because it is faster and everyone else does it so you are forced into it to compete. It is a very easy rule to police. Plus it would save a lot of time not having to cut up tires all day.
They don't even know how to spell sprint car
much less chromoly...http://www.ycmco.com
