Yes, I believe the Sport Mods are the equivalent of whot some refer to ad B Mods or what WISSOTA classifies as Midwest Modifieds. Those are the ones that go lap and spin, lap and spin, lap and spin until I get frustrated with the chaos and go sit in my lawn chair until it's time to take victory lane photos.

Sounds like what we have endured at Wilmot for YEARS, with the IMCA Mods

There have been numerous tracks in the past few months that have opted to change to the Racesaver series. Of course, a track's participation in the series is strictly their option. I think that we will see the series continue to grow and flourish throughout the country and even the rest of the world where sprint cars are run!!
I am attempting to get a complete list of the tracks where the Racesaver series is now a part of the line-up. I will post that as soon as the list is comleted. I know that 3 more tracks were spoken to at PRI as far as possible participation.

so basically if a track in your yard is in cahoots with a select group of richboy mod drivers it isnt much of an announcement....bummer

I believe stan writes for the midwest racing connection. He does a very nice job from what I have read.

Thanks to you and Stan for replying. I'm still old school enough to prefer reading things in print, having been a contributor in the past to Speedway Scene and RPM Racing News. I will check this out.

IMCA A Mods are out of control as far as cost's if you run a open motor, thats why a lot of guys are going to the crate motor, cost and they are not over hp. IMCA is now letting quick change rear ends which I believe is a good move. Guy's won't have to carry around heavy 9" Ford pumpkins any more.

I must apologize if this reply made sense to you or anyone else, but I'm lost here. :)
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

sorry, what i meant was if you have a imca track in your backyard and a handfull of mod teams are part of the board, weather it be family or whatever and they wont allow sprint cars because they just dont like them, then you shouldnt be expecting imca 305 racing any time soon....
