Now that the fall brawl has made the jump from being ASCS to "MOSS," I can't help but think this adds to my theory that the ascs should be nervous.

There is no replacement for cubic displacement

Just returned from a 10 day business trip in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area. Had a chance to visit a 2 day 305 Sprint car show in the Fort worth area. Went to night 1, left completely dissapointed, the racing was terrible. Did not return for night 2. The racesaver  engine is a complete joke. I have been around race tracks for 40+ years, and there were 3 teams with motors that I know were very "cheated up". What started out as a good concept with this engine, has turned into something that is laughable. 410 racing is where it is at, plain and simple. Several car owners I spoke with said financing 410 teams would not be a problem, and I agree, there is plenty of money in the area to put a great series together. The problem is that the forces controling 305 racing has made it clear they will not work with facilities that break ranks. Maybe it's time for an outsider to come in and give the racers and fans something worth showing up at a race track for. Maybe I'm spoiled having the opportunity to attend 50+ 410 sprint car events a year. I was always told things in Texas are Bigger and Better, not in this case. JMO

the dirt cup at scrapit speedway aka skagit is no longer a 410 show.  ascs sanctioned mav tv 360 show with 15k to win on saturday night.  three day show.  poor management by the owner...

360's = lower purse to pay out. Makes sense for the promoter but not the racers. Seems like the show has been trending down for several years. Most of the California cars don't even run it, other than the 0, 83 and 3c.

Whatever happened to the ASCS Sprint Bandits 410 series?  Wikipedia says it ran from 2004-2010.  Anyone have insight as to why it didn't endure?

They were non wing. Not a lot of non wing racers in the mid west.
