I wonder why they calculate displacement using the formula stated in Rule A instead of B/2squared X Pi X Stroke X No. of Cyl. which is how they would calculate it in any fundamental geometry class, the product is not the same ?

motors (engines) are commonly pumped when warm, thus the +/- % of deflection on digits,  rules are always in the hands of interpritation, when it comes to specifics , just how specific  do you want to be, a engine temp or time thereafter proceeding race should be monitored for thos willing to walk the "safe/unsafe" line.   sad when it comes down to a matter of numbers, but with this post and the heads described on the specific night, personnally, i would deem them Illegal, the rulebook hasnt been adjusted into the LS desighn  specifically, i would have to study im only speeking from tounge and cheek.. I believe the LS was negotiated with Schaffer/Schatz (non WoO) a few years ago that was a EFI deal, with multipul ign coils /battery, ect ..
