Well from the update after that race were nascar changed to rule to favor Elliot the answer is no it wasn't cheating . think nascar has their poster boy for the next generation.
I don't aim to please.

they still have a ride height rule and the car was low. end of story.
just because they chose not to penalize doesn't change things.
in your mind not meeting ride height is cheating, so if you want to change your mind then larson didn't cheat.
i bet larson is relieved that you no longer think he cheated.

NASCAR informed its Nationwide Series teams in a technical bulletin on Friday morning that effective immediately teams will received an additional half-inch tolerance on the postrace minimum front height of the car. The minimum postrace front height moves from 43/4 inches to 41/4 inches.

So really he wasn't cheating like the chosen one that got nailed and fined three times last year and still failed to win a race in doing so.

ok. so a week later they changed the rules.
so what does that have to do with chase and his violation the week before. the car was still low and didn't pass spec.
his crew chief was put on probation till the end of the year for the violation, so in nascar's eyes, there was a violation.
you go ahead and try to justify your hypocracy how you want.
oh for someone who hates larson so much, you sure pay quit a bit of attention to him.
