You're confused I was talking about MENS football, the Rugby League World Cup which the U.S played in, not the girls game soccer.  Not as good as Australian football (AFL) which is the no # 1 game.  121,696 watched Carlton play Collingwood in a Grand Final years back, real football just can't be beat!

You're right---i was confused!!!!  Sorry Aussie.  As long as we are on the same page about soccer!!!

I tried to watch a game a while back....Watched for 45 minutes and it was 0-0.......Tuned away for an hour and tuned back in, 0-0....I don't think I missed anything....

I've watched Frank "the sail the ball to whoever can get it" Tank since he came to MU. He is dangerous, but not in a good way. Mauk throws with discipline and precision. Mark my words...

The only thing that Mauk does better (just a little better) is throwing the deep ball.  James is much more accurate on the short and intermediate routes, much better at reading defenses, executes the pitch option much better, etc.

Also, James Franklin was/is the starting qb for a reason.  While Maty Mauk did a good job when James Franklin was hurt, Franklin is the better qb.

4 years ago Mauk was playing Jr High football....The kid has broken nearly every HS passing record. He was put into the fire and performed like a senior. While Franklin blend into obscurity after this year, Mauk will have a very lucrative career in football.

Hawk...Will agree we are in GREAT hands after the Tank graduates with Matty MO, IF he can beat out Eddie Printz(sp) who is a true freshman out of Georgia and who holds passing records of his own in high school in that state. MU equals quarterback U!

Quarterback U, huh?  Brad Smith was one of your better ones and he still can't make it as a QB other than in the Wildcat, not too many other names came to mind even when I looked them up, lol.  I agree with Hawker, this Mauk kid can play!

uh rite Brad Smith is still getting a paycheck in the league after how many years? Even though they are not stars, how about Chase Daniels and Blaine Gabbert? Plus James Franklin will be in an NFL camp next fall. MSPN, are you a Auburn fan?
