Agreed.  It's obvious the sprint car talent resides there, not sure why KWS isn't a bigger deal.  If I lived in Cali, Id be following it for sure and enjoying the better weather.  I sometimes wonder if it wouldn't help PA racing to have a series similar to KWS, where the tracks could come together and put purses up at least similar to the All-Star purse, or more.  I think the tracks could still operate independently, charge a little less for the non-KWS type shows with a slightly smaller purse, save the bigger purse for the track that gets it that night.   Run Friday/Saturday/Sunday night(or Thursday/Friday/saturday)...with the higher purse and the gaurantee of bigger names it brings, you could fill stands in Central PA on a Sunday or Thursday night, and give guys that want to do this for a living a chance at purse money 3 nights a week.  The lower purse for the non-series race would still get the true "work all week, load up the car Friday" racer that PA has in abundance (and give them the opportunity to make as much or more money by finishing higher than they normally would - while entertaining the fans), while the Stewart/Harz/Hamilton type teams that are no longer around and did it for money and big wins, could still do that following the local series.  It would probably kill 358 racing in PA, but after the engine they cost the same to run and the higher purse money 410s vs 358s will easily offset that cost.  Used ex-Posse and WoO engines that the big teams don't use anymore are affordable and plenty of guys are running good with home built re-builds of them.

Posse guys are tough in PA land but they lose thier mojo when they are away from their home tracks. That's not badmouthing the PA POSSE, it's just a fact.

Williams Grove?  Anyone that races there all the time should hae no trouble beating someone that races there a few times a year.  It's the oddest shaped track in this country.  That is why the pussey group doesn't beat the WoO outside of the NE U.S.

PA has lots and lots of 410 racing, CA has one track racing winged 410 sprinters.  PA has far more racers and far less success, only an idiot doesn't get that and most cheerleaders never have.  When you keep it to simple stats reality shows how over-rated the Posse is by comparisson.  Having said that they have many, many good racers and Hall of Famers as well, they just for some unknown reason have produced very little on the National scene.  The G-Man I believe was going to change that some and Stevie has been great all these years and even classier as a human.  I look at drivers like Keith K. and Greg H. and see the success they had in PA vs. the success or lack there of on a National basis and it tells me a story.  Bottom line, it's all good, they will be back in PA soon enough and you can have at it again, some be good times.....

He felt the "need" to leave because the summer weather is  so much nicer in PA than they are in SoCal!

They've done ok at the wierdly shaped Lincoln speedway the past two years.  Those specialized, semi-banked 3/8th ovals really throw the WoO into mass confusion.

Racing in CA is not a bigger deal than PA they just have drivers that can beat the Outlaws at lots of different tracks, that is a bigger deal.....
