I doubt egras knows any amount of any budget numbers that the outlaws teams have. Darrah is doing just as good if not better then most in the time frame including Shatz The problem is he is in a KKR car and all believe that the money is spent as needed but anyone close to that team or anyone of the KKR teams, they ALL have budgets Darrah's dad probably spent more on the team at home then they do right now.

Well there you have it.  I thought when Darrah said (and I paraphrase)  "hope to land with an outlaw team or put a big sponsor on the side of this hauler" back about 3 or 4 years ago, that meant that they did NOT have the money to run the WOO tour without some help.  But, you heard it here 1st:  Cody Darrah's dad--more money than Kasey Kahne.  ??   Really, really nice try.  I don't have all of the facts--nor do you.  But, I still do have enough common sense to know your argument holds no water at all.

Come on now, you know he didn't say or even really imply that "Cody Darrah's dad--more money than Kasey Kahne", but again, "sounds like NASCAR to me"..LOL

What I stated was that the team has a budget and no more, like most business and that is how Kahne runs the racing! Nothing on who has more money and I believe that if you know anything about Kahne he is VERY conservative to say the least. You Egras are just one fine trouble maker and if you are the one Darrah took care of you deserved it!

He crashed twice a night for two years and the car was always rebuilt with the best money could buy!  That's not a tight budget or a budget at all. This is a stupid subject. Go Kyle Larson

Nah, I didn't choose to bash Cody because of personal feelings towards him.  I remember watching the Williams Grove National Open a few years back when he looked about 15 years old.  I believe he was the defending champion of the race.  ??  He was doing an interview and was hoping to get the ride that would get him on the road with the WOO.  Not long after that he got that ride and I was actually rooting for him.  Then a couple of years passed and for me the experiment was over.

When I decided I was going to do the post I was going to pick a driver having a mediocre season to make a point.  I thought about Sides or Kemenah, but I couldn't do it using those two because they race on limited budgets and have to compete with big money each night.  Then, I thought about Joey, but he is actually one spot ahead of Darrah in the standings--no wins, but 1 spot ahead in the points.  Then i thought, Joey had 20 wins two years ago with the same equipment Cody has, so I can't use Joey for my presentation.  There it is--sorry if I offended anyone--but I cannot imagine even one scenario where he ends up being even a threat to win the title in the next 10 years.  Actually, maybe there is one exception--if his learning curve in the WOO is similar to that of Logano's in Sprint Cup.  That is a rarity though.  Usually a guy will show you something that makes you think it is going to happen for him.

Oh so you chose to pick on Darrah because he never gets talked about on this forum. I see.  BTW how many years have Kemenah and Sides been on the road vs. Darrah. How many years did it take before guys like Dollansky, Pittman, Mcmahan, Saldana and even Schatz became very good?

Wow!  Everyone in a tizzy!  It's about midnight.  Went out drinking for a little bit--2 beer gardens--about 200-300 people in each one.  I didn't cause any trouble and no one wanted to kill me.  Then again, no one in my town gives a crap about sprint car racing.  No passion for racing in Northwest Illinois.  Gotta come here to get it!

You see crazyjoe, it's a forum.  Expressing opinions kinda seems to be the norm here.  Take a page from BIGFISH, We're all just having fun.  (usually)  I was simply responding to a complaint--"sick of hearing about larson"--was the complaint I was hearing.  Those 641 posts I've made--just more proof that I live in a small town and have absolutely nothing better to do.  Try living in Illinois for more than 4 days.

By the way, why are you on this message board complaining about me?  Haven't you anything better to do today?   Too much time on your plate I think.

He's on here "complaining about you" because you're ripping on his kid on this thread that you started. You can't blame him for standing up for his kid.

Cheers!

(warning--this message is intended solely for those sick of hearing about Kyle Larson.  Many are disgusted hearing about his many successes, victories and his poisoning at the hands of Nascar.  This short post should give you that relief)

Cody Darrah puts out another highlight reel full of action!  First at Skagit, he climbs from his 8th starting spot to 4th!  Followed by Elma, WA where he charges from his 10th starting spot to a 22nd place finish!!  Finally, at Cottage Grove last night he blisters the field from 2nd place all the way up to 7th!!

Thankfully, this kid is staying put and not taking the bait to go to Nascar!  Even after posting 2 wins, 12 top 5s and 25 top 10's out of 63 races, he has resisted the calling of many top Nascar teams to sell his soul to the corporate machine!  Why would he go now though?  He has closed in to within 574 points of 3rd place in the standings and within only 254 pts. of a 58 year old man in the twilight of his career!

Here is hoping we will have years and years of enjoyment watching him finish in the top 10 about 39% of the time even though only about 5 or 6 of the teams he goes up against have near the funding.

Go get 'em!!

(anyone still not want to talk about Larson?  this is the kind of story you are going to get if you are sick of hearing about the actual story.  There are really only a couple of stories going on right now in the winges sprint car world (Pittman/Schatz, Kaeding, and Larson)--and I feel there is a fair percentage of each of those stories posted on this forum.  So if you are sick of hearing about the real stories, go to a basket weaving forum)

What a douchebag post. What have you ever done in the World of Outlaws series?

In the future he will be the future of the the WoO.

If this is a true statement there doesn't seem to be much of a future for the WoO.

the woozers are definately a thing of the past imo.  plenty of them running out of the B lately..

I'm not smart enough to understand all of the satirical geniuses on this board, but I laughed pretty hard at this one. Top 2 in the feature, 10 of 13 made the race in a 54 car field. A thing of the past? Excellent post sir!
