Walker should be tested. And I wouldn't care if he failed from 5 days ago or 3 weeks ago. If he can't stay clean period don't race. Also, Walker couldn't go anywhere and put 100 butts in the stands. Supporters on here keep dwindling from hundreds to dozens to only a handful of fools.

If I had a conversation with the said individual before he strapped in and I knew he was 100% straight minded......Your 1 word answer would be - YES

Before anyone thinks I am defending Tyler Walker in the below I am not. I do not approve of him taking cops on a high speed chase through 3 states.

What a driver does on their own time is their own business...What he does before entering the track or while at the track is up to anyone that wants to question that driver. All track officials have access to each and every driver before they ever hit the track.

So ...If a driver drinks 20 beers after a Friday night win. The next afternoon he might be over the legal limit to drive on the roadways to get to the race track. Do you let him race? Does anyone know his condition? Do you test each driver before each race? Where does this end?.....??

With Pot being a legal medicine in many states now.....What do you do with that??

"With Pot being a legal medicine in many states now.....What do you do with that??" First of all I would like to tell you that (Pot maybe legal under some states jurisdiction), but our Federal Government has a different Law and it's still illegal! The Feds are still busting the pot growers in Cali & Colorado.

Companies also can tell employees no drug use (including pot ) under employment policies. I can tell you that my fortune 500 company made it very clear to my coworkers in CO and WA that legally smoking weed would still cost them their jobs. Race organizations and promoters are crazy to not have a no tolerance policy on drug use.

Screw those backwards thinking companies who are against cannabis use on your own time. Alcoholics are the real scourge to society but that's pretty much widely accepted. I say grab a synthetic urine piss kit and let them throw their cute lil useless tests at you.
Cheers!

I voted yes early on, and here's why:

1. Somebody prove to me that Tyler Walker has been high, etc while racing a sprint car - not just what you think or want to be believe, but proof. If you say because of his actions at the Grove last year as proof, I remember many years ago watching Daren Eash throw a hissy fit on the front stretch at Port Royal - ended up parking his car on the track and sitting on the top wing in protest. Everyone of these guyt gets upset at someone and shows their arse at some point.

2. Any promoter who drug tests at the pit gate, and "finds" a positive is going to have a trail of lawyers on his butt in ten seconds. And are we going to test crew members too? If one of those guys is wasted and makes a mistake on the car - someone could get hurt too.

3. If I'm a car owner, and I'm going to throw $100K+ into a sprint car, I'm going to be pretty confident my guy is clean. Afterall, a car owner is going to get sued too if their driver hurts someone while wasted.

4. There are plenty of "unsafe" actions caused by supposed clean drivers every time a driver is out on the track. Remember Kahne taking flight out of turn 4 at the Grove in 2011 thanks to Dollansky, who I'm sure wasn't wasted. Happens all the time.

5. I respect Fred Rahmer, and he has earned the right to speak his mind. And when Tyler Walker is racing a sprint car on the track, I am a fan, yes. I don't condone anything he does away from the track, nobody would. But when he is in a sprint car, I sincerely think (and hope) he is clean, and he can drive with the best of them, and is worth the price of admission. He is not the devil, and I wish him well in turning his life around. I know I'll take a beating for this on here, but I have thick skin!

why isnt tyler in jail? last thing he should be doing is driving anything. he needs serious help or will end up doing something worse than high speed chase. he is knocking on deaths door with his behavior. setting a very bad example for young people. he should not be allowed to race anywhere. leading cops on a high speed chase? high on drugs? with a girl in the car risking her life as well? not to mention the rest of the stuff from his past. no more excuses, deep down guy is clearly a dirt bag. I dont care how nice he is to some of you. he needs to clean up and be that way for years before he can be taken seriously. he should be given atleast a 1 year ban from racing. and yes, test everyone. and no i would not want any family member on track with him. or around him at all anywhere.

I am against pot and alchohol for that matter as well.

I'll agree, in some states, Pot is a legal medicine.

However, driving under teh influence of drugs (legal or illegal drugs) is prohibitied in all 50 states. Just because a drug is legal does not making driving under the influence of it legal, I've seen people pulled over that have gotten ticketed for DUI for legal drugs prescribed by the Dr. in their bloodstream.

ANY DRUG (legal or illegal) can affect your decision making and driving ability, that is why they can arrest you for driving under the influence of legal drugs (and cost you a ton of $$$ in fines as well).

I still stand by my NO answer above.

The people on here citing the "what tehy do on their own time isn't our business", let me put it to you this way. All drivers are on their "own time" until they hit the track inside the car. So is it OK for them to take a hit or chug a beer right before the main pushes off??? How is that different than some guy that takes a hit or chugs a beer and then drives home from a friends house or a bar (SPOILER ALERT, IT ISN"T ANY DIFFERENT).
