Wow. . . thanks SO MUCH! I'm really just a sprint car fan who gets to talk about the most exciting form of racing in the world. I'm very fortunate. . . Thanks again.

Darryl Waltrip. Best ever!!!! Boogity, boogity, boogity. With such sayings as "gaggle", "that cat" and "hee hee hee", no one knows how to enter the brain of a racing fan like ol' DW.

DW? Really? Half the time I don't think he's even at the same race that he's talking about and that Boogity crap has got to go!
Johnny is the MAN, you can turn up the volume on the audio feed, close your eyes and you can picture what is happening just from his comments. That's the way it's done.
Thanks Johnny!

Amazing how one can still type while concentrating on keeping their tongue so firmly planted in their cheek.

I was joking. If I have to listen to him, Larry McRenolds, and Ned Jarrett talk at the same time, you need to keep all sharp objects away from me.

I figured you were joking but you never know. There are people out there that think DW is the "Holy One" when it comes to Nascar. All I can do is shake my head and turn the volume down.
Have a great weekend.

Guy is a pro....He always does his homework when it comes to the local drivers at the tracks and his to the point style is always spot on...I've always wondered how Napcar didn't scoop him up..

No prob. I agree with the "turn the volume down" Every time he opens his mouth, Nascar loses a fan.

I know that I'm late to this thread... but I just have to put in my two cents as well.
JG is without a doubt the best thing that Dirtvision brings to the table. I love the fact that for the last ? years I have been able to follow the WoO almost every night they have raced and it would not be the same without him. He calls things as they are... no matter what... and he's professional, knowledgeable, well spoken, and EXCITING!
Other guys that do what he does are good, but nobody else does it like he does.
I fear the day that he calls it quits. I hope he does it as long as he can. Then when he doesn't think he can do it anymore, WRG should figure out how to keep him going even longer, even if it means calling it "Gibson's World of Outlaws." Hehe...
It should also say something that a thread on Hoseheads doesn't get one negative comment (well, at least about JG, DW not included!) regarding the topic. I think a 100% success rate is one of a kind.
Congrats to you sir, your recognition is highly deserved. Your name should be included in the SCHoF on the day you become eligible.
PS:
Mr. Gibson,
Don't quit. Please. :)

I agree 100% that Johnny Gibson is the very best. I have heard announcers from coast to coast and never heard one that could compare. I had a chance to tell him to his face a couple years ago at Skagit Speedway. That made my whole night just being able to chat with him. Keep up the good work Johnny, you are the best.
