Jayme Barnes

Several on this list of non-regulars will NOT be there. However, it looks like it will be one of the best car counts for Vegas in a while. I wish I could be there, that's for sure! I hope anyone going out has a ton of fun!

I only added people to the list that either had it on their website, facebook, press release or from Johnny Gibson. So feel pretty confident in the list. I am sure a few plans could have changed. To have a solid field over 35 winged warriors sounds like a good show. Plus toss in the nonwingers coming also. Hell, bad day of racing beats a good day of work.

There were a few times last year I heard or read where Mark Dobmeier was going to be somewhere....he never showed up. I scratched him off my people to worry about via hoseheads page.

I guarantee you it wasn't a case of deciding not to race. He almost certainly ended up going to a different venue instead. The one case in particular I can think of, was the Outlaw or All Star show in Fargo (forget which one). Originally he had planned to attend the Fargo show, but being that it was on a Sat night, it interfered with Knoxville - so the decision was made to run for points at Knox instead. Once he arrived in Knox, the show was cancelled due to weather. The crew then tried to make it all the way back to Fargo for the show, but it was the old "We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there" problem. So they didn't make it in time, but certainly not due to a lack of effort.

So yes the 13 may, on rare occasion, miss a show he planned to attend - but you have to consider how much travelling this team does. There isn't very many "Local Teams" out there that do the amount of travelling the 13 team does each weekend - it's almost unheard of. And with the excitement he brings to the track, fans should be quite thankful in the upper midwest that his team is willing and able to do this. I know for a fact that he and the team are thankful for the support they receive from the fans and sponsors. They do it purely for the love of racing, and all winnings go directly back into the car/team expenses. Sprint car racing would be much less exciting in the area without him....

Sister Ann for Mr. Bet: I think its time for the 51 to get back into headlines by winning a couple in a row or two out of three, just do it,you got all the stuff needed for the big time racing.......win,win,win......long ways to travel to not be a podium finisher.

Is the younger Madsen still in Aussie? Need to get that kid a ride for WoO shows before Knoxville starts up. Also, I have a ton of respect for Dobmeier. They burn more money up in diesel fuel in a weekend than most locals all year.

Neither Tommy Tarlton not Willie Croft will be there. One you can add is California youngster, DJ Netto.

Id bet Stewart is just about a lock to race. Kahne a no. Stewarts Sprint Car has followed the Nascar series around the past handful years pretty close. If theres a 360 or 410 show within a decent amount of miles from the cup track (hell he even ran Eagle which is about 3 hours from Kansas Speedway last year in the spring) chances are he'll be there unannounced. Unless of course the promoter is gonna pay him to show up and sign autographs......

Wow there might be some names not making the feature. Love a deep field with big heat races.
