A top 5 car who finished 8th? Was it the driver then? Ha

Putting all the different reasons of uncharacteristic performance aside, the man still has the driven passion to race & his biggest fear is now coming full circle & that is to fail to win. Many, many chances this year off the front have yielded non Fred finishes of yesteryear.
Your legacy is sealed as 1 of the greatest in Central Pa. It may be time to put your focus on helping the boys. They have stood by your side & endured more than most kids ever will.
IT IS NOW THEIR TURN FOR SOME OF THE SPOTLIGHT!!

Yea, I have to agree!! Fred Rahmer is one of those drivers all the other drivers hope he never gets HOT!!! When Fred is on his "A" game, he could rip off about 20 wins!! Make no Mistake, in my opinion there is no driver in Cantral Pa with the drive Fred Rahmer has!!! There is only a few in the country that can compare to him!!!
He may not be doing well fight now, but if he figures this car/tires out Look out!!!!

Cole Duncan here in Ohio went back to Maxim and he has done very well since the change. I believe he ran the GF1 earlier this season and struggled to get it dialed in to his liking.

Fred's biggest problem finding a new ride is gonna be making the choice to go on the road. In Central PA there are 4-5 drivers who insist on making a living driving a sprint car at the local level and Fred is one of them. Other than those 4-5 owners that already do this, there are no others that are gonna pay a full-time driver to drive locally. These guys demand a guaranteed salary plus percentage. In this economy - forget it! The current owner will stand and bitch about supporting 5 new motors every year and this expense and that expense. No one is holding a gun to his head & making him spend that & then go off and take over another full time racing operation that's on the road all the time. BS! For certain Fred is not happy. Wish him luck!

Freddie is Posse, he has been the leader there for 20 years. He owes nobody nothin', he's a legend, a Hall of Famer and a Winner and has been for over 30 years, first in Modifieds and then Sprints. With a break or two he would have been the Slick 50 Champ out in AZ back in the early 90's, he opened a lot of eyes out there. To a man the Outlaws think he's GREAT and only wish he would have ran with them, he commands that much respect. They consider him an equal, likely more than anyone else in the country at least that was the perception when I was with them back in the day. Freddie won the PCR Nationals in Australia over a stellar field the same week the triplets were born, he was almost the only Posse guy that could travel and win and always be competitive, that's Fred! The last couple of major injuries have obviously made a difference, Steve and Sammy have been lucky to not have that happen and hence have that advantage. Winning Speedweek this year without seeing Victory Lane tells me all I need to know and how the fire still burns inside this champion, don't count him out yet.....

I don't think you will ever see Fred in another car. Mrs Clemets has comminted several times on facebook, about Fred being their driver till he decides to hang up his helmet. As old as Fred is, he still has more drive than 90% of the sprint car drivers walking this earth. I an willing to bet he isn't even thinking of hanging up the helmet!!
