Lynton got the checkered flag. He should have won. Team x7 - a 1 hour sprint show would be great.
Still love husets

Just to let everyone know...the track was horribly rubberdown ten laps into it...it was Not a good race...when tires are blowing left and right its not good...track was is in really really aweful shape to say the least...I can't believe people are calling the race awesome...it took an hour and cost teams over $750 just in tires not to mention all the broken parts...

It's only bad if you abuse your tires, Lynton Jeffrey ran on used tires the whole night started from 15th & passed everyone, from what I saw only a couple blew tires, but some really good drivers spun on their own. Lynton should have won the race he came off turn four looking at the chequared flag and that is race over any other place in the country. It was a shame his driveline broke while they were lining the restart up. It was a disgraceful decision by the officials to restart the race. At the end of the day some really great drivers were driving over the top and if they blew their tires bad luck to them because about 20 others didn't. The fact that a few cars crashed had nothing to do with the track prep that all happend before it laid rubber which is typical of Husets in any WOO or All-star race. If people think Husets weekly is soft on car count it aint soft on talent because again the locals kicked butt, just like at The WOO show ..

If Dobmeier was driving anything like he did Fri at Jackson its no wonder he blew his tire.
It was amazing that he didn't blow it Fri, as it was I think he ran out of fuel coming to the checkered flags.
I really wish Huset's and for that matter all tracks/organizations would go to a rock hard tire like the American Racers that Huset's used 7-8 yrs ago.
The track always slicked off and never took rubber, produced some of the best racing I've ever seen anywhere.

I guess some people like sitting for 4 hours. I think that is way too long and watching taxi cabs put on a demo derby is not very much fun. I agree with everhard, Sunday nights show sucked. Husets is going downhill fast.

Huset's was a great show last night car count was good racing was good and best of all dobmeier kicked ass, just really sucks that he had bad luck there at the end of the race! For those who were not there on sunday night dobmeier got by lasoski as they raced through lap cars then led up to the last lap where his righ rear went flat he was able to get into the pits to get a new tire then made it back out on the track to start at the tail of the field, with two laps to go he raced by a few car then got hit and pushed up into the wall as his night was over!
|
Maybe you should pay better attention. Dobmeier took himself out at the end. He jumped the cushion coming out of 1 & 2 and backed it into the wall. If anyone thought that was a good race you had better quit drinking the Kool-Aid that Husucks serve.

Racing cost half as much with that tire on- didn't know how good we had it!! Flip it to get edges instead of new all the time and you didn't need a 38k 360 to be fast.

Pretty sure the reason that happen to dobmeier is because he cut down a right rear tire, If it would not of been for that domeier would have won it, only guy out there who had anything for him was lasoski and he looped it all on his own as dobs went around him in turn 2! Dobmeier is one hell of a driver and puts on a show every place he goes!

Dobmeier did not hurt the tire by jumpin the cushion. It just ran out of tread. The sidewall was still fine.

I'm not trying to say dobmeier didnt burn off the tire i agree yes he did, he raced hard all night and he raced very hard to get by the dude but the point i'm trying to make is that if that tire would not have went down on him he would have won the race, cuz the only guy out there that would of had anything for dobmeier was the dude and after the dude looped it he was not gonna have time to get to dobmeier without what happen! Thats all i'm trying to say!

A picture tells a thousand words and a video doesn't lie.
Dobmeier never hits the Dude as he stated in victory lane.
It appears Dobmeirer's tire was going down taking the white flag. It blows as he gets to the spinning lapped car in the 3& 4.
Having statred 15th Lynton Jeffrey was a clear second & was passing Dobmeier through the bottom. If you watch the video he ran the pair of them down just as The Dude spins on his own.
Here watch.

You are right, video doesn't lie. Looks like Dobmeier started the 9 car pile up at the start when he came up going down the front strait and got in to the 11x.

What effing video are you watching? It's quite obvious that the 55 on the outside pole gets an awful start in turn 4. The 11x tries to take advantage and goes between the 13 and 55. By the time they hit the flag stand, there's not enough real estate for all 3 and chaos insues. There isn't much blame to pass around, other than trying to figure out why the hell the 55 thought it was a good idea to go that high on the start.
Next watch the ensuing restart with the 13 in the outside pole position and see where he goes taking the green coming out of 4. No chaos. Weird.....

The start was because of the 55. Ian knew there was something wrong with his motor. As they were pacing around he'd fall way back and mash the gas with a white puff of smoke ensuing. I'm gunna say that Ian's motor didn't take off. Gregg did what any other driver would of done and took the open gap.
