That is largely what I thought. I was aware of how far Huset's is from Knoxville for a second night of 410 racing. It just seems difficult to envision any kind of scenario for a region to suddenly be able to support a second night when there is no real history of that.

I know there was a huge thread of here a couple years asking how to make the Knoxville more like central PA in terms of tracks/races for 410s. This is by no means any kind of chest thumping or bragging or anything like that, but the culture in central PA has always been a circuit of 80-100 races being possible. That seems impossible to replicate from a crowd/car count standpoint elsewhere if there is not a prior tradition of such a schedule.

I would love to see another track run weekly 410 show, but based upon attendance at Knoxville, I don't see it happening. Not that it has been bad, given the circumstances, but if this were to happen I'd expect to see more than an average crowd during Saturday night at Knoxville. The PA area probably has a higher population density as well. Maybe the best chance to run weekly 410s would be I34, bc as someone stated, it would pull in some of the MOWA drivers. Eagle to Knoxville is 3 plus hours, Husets to Knoxville is 5 plus hours. This may be wishful thinking but I wish USAC would land a few more races around in Iowa, but I think you need to live in the eastern plaines, or CA to see anything consistent. I applaud the Iowa tracks that are running a weekly sprint show; Knoxville, I34, Dennison, just wish they were not running the same night at Knoxville.

Oskaloosa is having non wing cars on August 6th and 7th this year. Complete show both nights! Monday is the Front Row Challenge with the ASCoC 410 winged sprint cars and the non wing cars will have their prelim night with the top 2 being locked into the Ultimate Challenge dash on Tuesday night. Tuesday will be the USAC non wing 410 cars going for $15,000 to win and the winged 305 cars will also compete. Two great nights of racing.

I applaud Terry for bringing more non wing to the area! I love Knoxville and wings but the best race night of racing I've ever witnessed was 3? years ago in Osky for the Ultimate challenge.

I think I remember going to Boone as well for a few 360 races...not sure though. July use to be fun around my birthday in Iowa. Special Sprint county fair shows dotted all around.

The random May and September shows. Doing my homework in the car traveling to a race. Memories

I would agree that the USAC wingless sprint program at 34 was awesome. Probably the best sprint show that I have seen there since we started making the trip four years ago. But the midgets????????????????? Maybe not so much.
