He is high on drugs or just a few cans short of a 12 pack. Another Mr. know it all.
Clauson in the 500 is a great story. I haven't been this pumped up about a 500 since Billy Boat and Davey Hamolton were rookies there.

I'm going to be rooting for Clauson big time, but I still cant get over how ugly the Indy cars are this year. I want to buy a Clauson Indy T-Shirt, but I dont see myself ever wearing it, becuase the car on the front of the shirt is just dorky looking.
And I couldn't believe the comment Robin Miller made on Dave Despains show the other night. The pace car has about 100 more horses than the indy cars?

Would not entirely surprise me if the pace car had higher hp. Indy gets nuttier all the time.

Are there actually 34 cars practicing? You mean someone won't qualify? This isn't any kind of insult to Bryan Clauson, but from what I have read the past few days on a few different IndyCar boards, there seemed to be only 32 drivers and there was some debate as to which team was going to unload a "T' car to make a 33-car field
So if 34 cars attempt to qualify for 33 spots, I guess one of the Lotuses won't make the race? It looks like the Lotus engine is about 10 miles per hour off the pace.

What a joke 34 cars MAYBE....I wish they would just go to Oswego supers and have a few guys from our own country run the biggest race in the world. I used to look forward to the 500 but now if the yard needs mowed I will probably just mow.

FWIW, I still only see 31 different drivers that have practiced so far at Indy. The TrackForum message board is reporting that Dragon Racing has located an engine for Sebastien Bourdais, so they are up to 32 drivers/cars, it seems.
From what I have read on TrackForum, if the field is exactly 33 cars attempting to qualify for 33 spots, expect IndyCar to use the "105 percent rule" quick on race day to black flag both Simona de Silvestro and Jean Alesi. Both de Silvestro and Alesi are saddled with the horribly uncompetitive Lotus engines.

You mean like Ryan Hunter-Reay, Marco Andretti, Graham Rahal, Josef Newgarden, Ed Carpenter, JR Hildebrand and our own Bryan Clauson, all of whom are in the top half of the speed chart so far?

Well, Clauson will start inside row 11. He only turned 214 mph in qualifying. Bryan said thay found the balance again after qualifying and will have a good car for the race.

Bryan was on his way to qualifying much further up on pole day. He had 3 great laps in (224 mph or so) and the car came around on the 4th lap. If not for that, he'd have been somewhere around 15th. They repaired the car and went ultra conservative on the setup to get qualified.
