Billy graduated from College (ASU) while he was still running sprints, Midgets, and Champ cars, and founded his own business in 86.. http://www.bbexhaust.com/ After teaming up with Beck Motorsports and Curb/Agajanian in 2001 with a 4th place finish in points. The following year he teamed up with Agajanian.... Boat/Agajanian finished 13th in points that year. He ran Indy in 2003 for Panther Martin and like the smart man that he is, he folded his hand and walked away with the $$ and a thriving business. The promises that Tony George had made were gone by this time, and the money to run with the IRL had skyrocket with the broken promises. He was in the right place at the right time, and JJ Yeley another AZ boy, ran Indy in the later part of that era too. Also, Chad was young but well on his way in his racing career and Billy wanted to be, and was always there for him. Still is.

Did Billy run a car for AJ ?
Grady
Kyle Larson last year
"The Elk Grove, Calif., native won a total of 22 major professional feature races last season, including victories in the World of Outlaws sprint car series and all three United States Auto Club national divisions. Last fall, he swept the 4-Crown Nationals at Eldora Speedway, winning in three different styles of race car -- midgets, sprint cars and silver crown cars -- in the same night" how anyone can say he still has to prove himself is beyond me.

Did Billy run a car for AJ ? He sat on the pole with Foyt at Indy in 98... He won 6 poles in 98, including 5 in a row, both league records.

First time I saw Billy Boat race sprints, he was running the white #17 for Tom Klein in 1987. Boat "won" an IRL race at Texas for AJ. After the race, Arie Luyendyk walked into victory lane, protesting the outcome (which was awarded to Arie) and Foyt slapped him upside the head.
