I've been watching him since he got into a full size sprints after running micros, and to me it doesn't matter what the size of the track is he's been pretty consistent on any type of track. I don't know how many years he was in a micro but they ran everywhere and they are all 1/4 mile or smaller.

Thanks for the info. In that case, I stand with my earlier opinion that he could finish top-2 or 3 in HL and top-4 in WoO if he ran entire seasons. (Assuming of course the funding was there for an entire season of travel.) I've seen him win on the "big" and fast tracks, and if he's capable of consistent results on the bullrings, I so no reason he couldn't point his way to a top finishing spot. I think the car is capable and he's got the talent.

I'm sure that earning your endorsement means a lot to Anthony..lol.. Personally I enjoy watching the 39 team run a True Outlaw schedule, with all the money to win why burn yourself out with a points chasing deal. Remember the year Brent Marks did the same thing and made a ton of money? I will admit that when Anthony left the family team I made some negative comments about him but I figured he'd come back home and he did and he has improved tremendously since then. I guess he just needed a bit more maturity like all young men do. I can't help but like the dude anymore he really represents himself well these days, reminds me some of Greg Hodnett, one of his heros. And damn, that kid is fearless.

I can't agree with you more. I was equally as critical of him during his split with the family team. But, as you say, how can you not like the kid now? He conducts himself professionally each time someone throws the mic in his face. He doesn't do stupid crap on the track. And hes a badass behind the wheel. And I'm not a Posse guy at all---just saying it like I see it!
I also enjoy seeing guys running true outlaw schedules, and being competitive when they show up. If that what makes the pocket book happy, by all means, do it! The WoO Platinum deal and HL Charter deals are there for guys that either want to chase the title and the big bucks, or guys that need that extra support and point $$ to run across the country. If guys can make it work without, and have the backing, more power to em! It appears they've got what they need!

I started taking notice when he started winning 410 races in Pa. I may have seen him run micros, but didn't know who he was.
First few interviews after his wins, he seemed like a kinda nervous, geeky HS kid. By the time of his feud with Dietrich, he was sounding like a pretty confident & "dish it out as well as take it" guy ;)

I agree too.. True Outlaw
I always liked him, never took sides in the family feud (cause I didn't know shit) but was thrilled when the family team got back together (& took up where they left off, winning) I certainly had some battles with my late father which fortunately healed over time, so I get it
I can only imagine some of the arguments they had.... ;)

Are you completely oblivious to what the crown jewel Sprint Car race at Eldora every July is called? That race actually has a coronation with a crown and robe and scepter for the winner. The race has even has a huge ceremony to crown a new, get ready for this, king every July.
You really should have filled your "friend" in on what the race at Eldora every July is called.

I probably knew about the King Royal before you were even born. Been there many times, even the Million to win. Because of that win, he probably deserves the title of King. However, he most likely didn't embrace the title of Kid, now that he's a veteran. I bet he had a hand in the name change. I saw him at Williams Grove and Lincoln about 6 or 7 years ago when he was just a Kid and I recognized then that he was a future star. I did explain this to my friend.

I think the issue is there are some local races that for now at least he really likes to run and dosen't want to give up. Also he has some good local sponcers as well as the family business that benefit from them being a nationally known team as well as running in front of their potenial clients around home. He is 26 I think so there is time.

i guess the big question about going on a national tour is MONEY
does he have the sponsors to run 85 nights all over the country
doing 15 or 20 is one thing but 85 that takes a lot of MONEY
No doubt he can compete....i think he has proven that
as the old saying goes Money talks and bullshit walks

I agree wth your point about sponsors. However, I suggest you research and let us know how many races the team was in last year. I bet the number is closer to 85 than it is to 20. :)

I think he was referring to the number of races they hit the road and left their region. Although that was likely higher than 20, it wasn't 85.
